Position Description:  Atlanta Habitat for Humanity transforms communities by acting as a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization through education, innovative development, partnerships, and long-term relationships with families. The ReStore is Atlanta Habitat’s home improvement outlet, open to the public. The ReStore generates revenue through the sale of donated and reclaimed building materials and supplies.  All proceeds support Atlanta Habitat’s mission.

Atlanta Habitat offers full-time employees a full benefits package including employer-subsidized health insurance, generous paid time off and a retirement savings plan with an employer match.  Positions hours are Monday – Friday with some flexibility in hours. Starting compensation range is $50,000 - $55,000, dependent on skills and experience.


Position Summary: The Corporate Donations Manager supports Atlanta Habitat’s mission by overseeing donation activities for the store, including building relationships with corporate donors, developing strategies for maximizing quality donations, managing the residential donation program, and ensuring the donations team meets goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for procuring corporate donations to match the ReStore’s goals Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate donors. Continue to build relationships with past corporate donors. Maintain Salesforce tracking of corporate donors, contacts, key decision makers and donations. Accountable for meeting and exceeding annual donation goals, building positive relationships and representing Atlanta Habitat in the community Manage the ReStore Donations team and oversee all ReStore in-kind donations efforts, corporate and residential Coordinate large donations with the ReStore leadership team Acknowledge all corporate donations via Salesforce letters Utilize merchandising and marketing principles to optimize donations Coordinate logistics of all corporate pick-ups, assist with residential logistics when necessary Maintain good working relationships with all logistics partners Track and approve invoices for the logistics partners Support the ReStore’s sales and logistics teams as needed Contribute to decision-making as a member of the ReStore’s leadership team Serve as a ReStore liaison to Atlanta Habitat’s ResDev team

Job Conditions: 

  • The position is full-time, 40 hours per week. This position typically works a Monday – Friday schedule. A flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend work is required. This position is classified as exempt. This position requires significant time traveling locally to meet with prospective donors. Corporate Donations Manager must maintain a reliable, insured vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed. The ReStore Corporate Donations Manager reports to the ReStore Operations Director. The ReStore Corporate Donations Manager manages the ReStore donations team. This position is subject to periodic DMV checks for driving record and valid driver’s license. This position is subject to a criminal and credit background check and drug and alcohol testing. The ReStore Corporate Donations Manager is expected to use discretion and independent judgment in carrying out his/her responsibilities and to represent the organization in a professional, knowledgeable and collegial manner at all times. Requirements: 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with an emphasis in business, retail, merchandising, or marketing.
  • Minimum of three years of donation procurement or corporate sales experience.
  • Sales, merchandising, or marketing experience a plus.
  • Experience negotiating contracts/business deals.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Retail experience with construction or building materials/hardware preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good process management skills.
  • Knowledge of fair market values of new and used building materials.
  • Working knowledge of tax laws affecting in-kind charitable giving.
  • Geographic understanding of the City of Atlanta.
  • Superior customer service skills, including building and maintaining relationships with corporate donors. 
  • Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook. Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Strong research skills and ability to develop and follow through on business leads.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and pay attention to details.
  • Able to work well with all staff, homeowners, volunteers and donors.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks.
