About the ACP (www.atlantachamberplayers.com)
Founded in 1976, the ACP is a nationally recognized chamber music ensemble that has brought high-caliber music to audiences in Atlanta and beyond for over 40 years. The mixed ensemble consists of strings, winds, and piano and presents traditional concerts in creative venues to diverse audiences. In addition to a public concert series, the ACP produces a premium-priced soiree subscription series in private homes; the ACP produces a diverse repertoire, including traditional masterworks, virtuosic salon works, and world premieres by American composers. ACP programs feature leading members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, other acclaimed chamber musicians, and guest artists. The group also founded and directs a New Music Initiative, which formalizes ACP goals to create new chamber works and boost the careers of chamber music composers.
