The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from.  Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers.  We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

Donor Services/Development

About the Role:

The Data Analyst will take a strategic view on donor and fundraising reporting, CRM systems, data process and technology need of the Development and Marketing department.  This position is responsible for reporting and analysis especially in the areas of revenue streams, donor behavior, retention, and stewardship. The Data Analyst position will collaborate with the Development Operations Manager to ensure all gift and donor coding aligns with the reporting and analysis needs of the department. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of reconciliation with Finance and regular reports shared with Feeding America and internal stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

Data Management

  • Create queries and exports for solicitations, reporting and mailings lists for both ongoing programs and onetime projects (eg. Leadership Circle mailings, impact reports, event invitations, direct mail pulls, etc…) Responsible for monthly data imports (data appends, appeals, packages, etc…)

Reporting

  • Create dashboards for managers and frontline fundraisers for KPIs, opportunities and list making in NXT Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to better utilize data to make decisions across the development department Gather and maintain monthly fundraising scorecard, quarterly and annual metrics Responsible for all Feeding America reports include quarterly suppression lists and the NAR

Data Integrity

  • Helps maintain a healthy CRM with weekly and monthly coding checks Works on duplicate management Collaborates with front line fundraisers on Organizational Relationship Records and other key contacts.

Reconciliation

  • Supports monthly reconciliation activities in collaboration with Finance Team, including gift research, restricted funding, and bank reconciliation Performs routine month end closing activities

What You’ll Need:  Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:

  • Must have demonstrated success thinking logically, solving problems, and showing attention to detail. Additionally, must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate findings to those who will make decisions based on your analysis. Strong proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, including the ability to organize data and create reports to tell a story, to be used for decision making or the like.  Proven success evaluating data and making data driven recommendations Proven record of delivering outstanding service to internal or external customers. 

Even Better if You Have:

  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT or Raiser’s Edge 7 Previous reconciliation experience
