DESCRIPTION:

New Virginia Majority is hiring a Regional Field Director to manage its paid voter outreach programs. Ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented and self-starters.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The RFD is responsible for recruiting, training and managing a team of leads and canvassers with intention to meet yearly voter outreach goals. RFD’s must maintain consistent reporting, and will also be responsible for supporting volunteer efforts. RFD’s will work closely with the data team to ensure quality data management. RFD’s will need to complete administrative duties as assigned. This position reports directly to the Statewide Field Director.

Required Skills: 

Competitive applicants for RFD must be goal oriented and have field organizing or electoral organizing experience. They must have strong leadership skills and experience managing a large staff.  Knowledge and experience using VAN and similar voter outreach tools is strongly preferred. Other skills required include:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation  Minimum 2 years of experience managing a successful field team Proficiency in spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and related software Ability to work irregular/long hours  Ability to meet goals on deadline and work under pressure  Excellent organizational and communication skills  Self- motivated and able to work independently  Alignment with NVM’s ideology and goals

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salaries are competitive. Salary range is $54,000 - $59,000, commensurate with experience.

The Regional Field Director is responsible for his/her own travel to/from Virginia (if relocating) and local housing.
