Do you enjoy championing your organization's work, building strong partnerships, and motivating others to leverage resources for the greater good? Do you enjoy crafting creative fundraising appeals and opportunities to engage with partners? Do you want to be challenged, leverage a ton of skills, be on the cutting edge of economic justice work, have a good laugh, brainstorm a lot, get frustrated sometimes but inspired frequently, and be on the right side of history?

Mission Asset Fund (MAF) is looking for a Grants Coordinator to join MAF’s Philanthropy team to support the day-to-day management of the grant portfolio. The Grants Coordinator will be primarily responsible for supporting the preparation of grant proposals and reports, but also eager to jump in on funder communications, presentations and webinars, as well as fundraising campaigns. As part of the Philanthropy team, the Grants Coordinator will work closely with MAF’s CEO to help build open and authentic relationships with community and corporate foundations, government agencies, innovative philanthropists and other partners who want to advance solutions centered on low-income and immigrant communities’ experiences.

Our story: Mission Asset Fund (MAF) is a groundbreaking non-profit on a mission to create a fair financial marketplace for hardworking families. MAF is a nationwide leader in developing innovative and successful asset-building strategies. Our award-winning social loan models build pathways out of the financial shadows for low-income individuals across the U.S. A hybrid between a tech start-up and a nonprofit, MAF is a great place to work for both nonprofit and for-profit professionals who are interested in tech for social good and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The issues we are tackling are real and require dedication and urgency to be met head-on. At MAF, we work hard and care deeply about the clients we serve.

As MAF grows, we need a data-drive and eloquent Grants Coordinator to help us communicate and report to philanthropic partners. This is a great opportunity for someone with passion and experience mobilizing resources that help low-income and immigrant communities build financial security.

An awesome team to work with: This is a fully remote position with potential opportunities for regular meetups in our San Francisco office for local candidates. You will be working with a team that is ridiculously dedicated to the mission and fun to work with. We are extremely collaborative and embrace teamwork as a core value. As a nonprofit and tech startup, we attract people who like to jump in with both feet and who aren’t afraid of learning how to do better. Hailing from many different cultural and professional backgrounds, we are drawn together by a passion for embracing technology and creativity to make the world a better place for hardworking families.
