Manager, Marketing

Who We Are:

The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from.  Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers.  We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role:

The Manager, Marketing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Food Bank's brand and public facing marketing assets, including paid media agency management & campaign planning, brand management & collateral materials, photography & video asset planning including vendor management, website, social media, and building environmental design maintenance. Additionally, the Manager, Marketing will oversee management of our merchandise store including inventory management, pricing and fulfillment strategy. The position will lead a team of two staff: the social media & Multicultural Outreach Manager and the Graphic Designer.

What You’ll Do:

Implements Marketing Strategy

  • Builds marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels to support overall strategic marketing plan
  • Sets and maintains the brand standards;  manages the development of creative (in coordination with an agency where applicable) for all marketing initiatives, ensures timely media placement and coordination of production/materials deadlines
  • Manages website content, including upkeep of images, landing pages, and other site content enhancements and requirements
  • Develops and implements video asset strategy to support various aspects of the marketing plan
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gains insight and assesses against goals

Builds & Nurtures Relationships

  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, and vendors to advance the organizations brand and to connect with partners and clients
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop campaigns creative including visuals and storyline.

Leads a Successful Team

  • Forms teams with appropriate and diverse mix of skills, perspective, and experiences
  • Fosters open dialogue and collaboration
  • Establishes clear objectives to guide goal achievement
  • Sets goals, provides feedback, executes performance management process
  • Serves as mentor;  develops employees' core knowledge, provides opportunity for growth

What You’ll Need:  Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:

  • Experience managing advertising agencies and media partners, including creative direction and media buying strategies; or agency experience managing client relationships
  • Experience managing brand standards, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines across all mediums
  • Experience with website development and maintenance
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Experience managing individual contributor team members
  • Collaborative and client service oriented

Even Better if You Have:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in an agency or client side managing an agency
  • Experience guiding video production, storyboarding, shot lists and editing
