At Partners for HOME (PFH), your challenge will be to ensure we create a highly coordinated homeless crisis response system that delivers outcomes and measures that can be scaled in order to effectively connect individuals experiencing homelessness to the appropriate and most expedient housing solution. Our team’s mission is to lead a coordinated community effort and to layer and leverage the resources and relationships to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is for an ambitious and industrious relationship builder who will undertake a variety of visionary project goals, which will include, but not be limited to:

1. Oversee the work of ending Veteran, Youth, and Family homelessness

  • Implement the strategic vision to end Veteran, Youth, and Family homelessness in the City of Atlanta
  • Continue to collaboratively define and refine the strategic vision based on real-time data, with thorough knowledge of veteran, youth, and family resources available and specific need in Atlanta population
  • Serve as expert in the latest best practices for engaging Veterans, Youth, and Families experiencing homelessness. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rapidly changing techniques and innovations in the field.
  • Coordinate trainings for provider community on best practices and techniques for engaging Veterans, Youth, and Families
  • Work with other Partners for HOME staff to create and manage Veteran, Youth and Families by name lists and take down calculator

2. Lead the overall execution, administration, and expansion of Veteran, Youth and Families Projects including, but not limited to:

  • Design, develop and launch Youth and Families housing programs serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness, including Atlanta Youth Homelessness Demonstration Projects.
  • Prepare, release, manage scoring, and award Notice of Funding Opportunity or Request for Proposals
  • Lead strategic workgroups for program design and implementation
  • Set and meet strategic operational goals for project performance outcomes
  • Create and implement training for service providers on program models and workflows
  • Increase knowledge of strategy in the broader community by training, marketing, and networking to improve access to programs and quality of referrals
  • Host Veteran, Youth, and Families case conference sessions

3. Collaborative leadership with critical stakeholders to further the work of Veterans, Youth and Families initiatives including:

  • Work in close partnership with the Atlanta Continuum of Care partners, City of Atlanta Staff/Departments, and other key stakeholders to develop and initiate strategic planning activities as they relate to lines of work for veterans and youth and families.
  • Lead the strategic project management of the YHDP Committee and the Atlanta CoC Youth and Family Committee to ensure goals are defined and met on deadline.
  • Support leadership of youth with lived experience by providing guidance to the Youth Action Board and facilitating their engagement with CoC systems
  • Participate in efforts to streamline processes to end homelessness with community partners such as the VA, DJJ, DFCS, Atlanta Public Schools, and others
  • Serve as point of contact between Partners for HOME and the VA
  • Partner with agencies receiving related funding resources (such as SSVF, ESG, etc.) to further alignment with the CoC and lead and drive committee work and strategies.
  • Develop broad-ranging relationships and provide exceptional customer service to our Continuum Partners, ensuring a transparent system is in place to measure outcomes and deliver results.

4. Meet project deliverables following a data-driven approach by:

  • Keeping updated records, reviewing data and data quality, and generating reports from HMIS utilizing proactive real-time monitoring of project outcomes goals.
  • Maintain communication with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Atlanta Community Resource and Referral Center (CRRC) for veteran homeless data
  • Working with the Senior Project Manager of Performance to develop and monitor performance measures and benchmarks for all programs and initiatives associated with veterans and youth and families,

5. Supervise staff including the onboarding, off boarding, conducting performance reviews and ongoing coaching

  • Providing support to direct reports to meet the goals and targets of individual work plans

6. Provide guidance and interpretation to the CoC of HUD regulations/guidelines, contract language, procurement policies, and procedures.

7. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High energy and a passion for the CoC’s mission and goals
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Superb organizational skills, with the proven ability to create and implement efficient systems, plan strategically, allocate work, set and manage objectives, analyze and mitigate risk, and create and manage visionary projects
  • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Significant experience building relationships, and gaining community buy-in and consensus building
  • Previous experience in partnering with leadership for the delivery of projects
  • Preferred record of measurable results in cultivating relationships
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders including those with lived experience of homelessness
  • Preferred experience in supporting youth leadership
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Impeccable professional and persuasive writing and editing skills
  • High energy and a passion for the strategic direction of the CoC and the City of Atlanta in ending homelessness
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to perceive and understand people’s motivations
  • Highly industrious with a strong work ethic; sense of urgency/impatience for action
  • Integrity and humility that encourages and inspires constituents; strong sense of judgment
  • Ability to seek out constructive criticism and growth
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, consistently meeting expectations and commitments on tight deadlines, all while managing a variety of tasks and relationships in an efficient and meticulous manner
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of data-driven project management tools
  • Preferred experience with HMIS (Homeless Management Information System)

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in homeless services


SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILTIES

May supervise direct reports and work of others as it relates to youth and families and/or veterans.

COMPENSATION

PfH offers a competitive compensation package including generous health benefits, retirement match, annual performance bonus and up to 4 weeks’ vacation. Salary range is $62-75,000 depending on experience.
