Job Summary
The Data Entry Administrator position involves data entry, along with analyzing and managing records for membership in Volunteer System built on the Salesforce Platform. He/She will assist with managing data quality in the systems in order to ensure the data integrity of information needed for decision making at all levels of the organization. He/She regularly runs and reviews data quality reports to identify data quality issues, investigates root causes of data or system issues and works individually and in conjunction with specialists and management to implement corrective action. The administrator reports data quality status to management for action. The administrator performs functions related to creation, update and maintenance of council wide data in the Volunteer Systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participates in data quality cleanups.
- Assists in verification of data loading.
- Regularly conducts reviews (daily, weekly) of data quality reports, and takes or causes action to be taken to resolve data issues and problems.
- Handles data quality issues caused by staff errors; identifies individuals involved and root causes, and works with individuals and their respective managers, as needed, to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Maintains familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Provide administrative and back-up support to other council departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- CRM experience, especially Salesforce, desirable.
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies with ability to understand the basic data quality principles and practice
- Ability to respond quickly and positively to change, embracing and using new practices or values to accomplish goals and solve problems
- Ability to establish rapport with others at all organizational levels in person, phone, and online.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues and communicate information effectively to volunteers, and staff.
- Ability to identify and analyze existing and potential problems systematically and thoroughly.
- Defines and implements solutions to problems.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail
