Job Description

 

Help The Persecuted is hiring a Communications Content Manager. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented storyteller who is motivated to impact the Kingdom through copywriting and marketing. By telling the inspiring stories of those we are helping, this person will keep ministry partners in the know about our frontline work. The Communications Content Manager will also execute multi-channel marketing efforts to engage existing and prospective partners. Storytelling through copywriting and execution of digital and social media marketing are the two primary ways this person will make an impact within our organization and on the lives of persecuted Christians around the world.
 

 

The Communications Content Manager responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist in the creation and execution of content development and communication plans across all channels

     

    Write and edit all content created for the ministry, both by yourself as well as the work of freelance contributors

     

    Resource marketing copy to direct mail partners and assist in the creation/editing of direct mail pieces

     

    Oversee all social media marketing, to include writing posts and directing graphics

     

    Create weekly email messaging, writing the content and editing weekly prayer reports

     

    Ensure the website is updated and refreshed regularly with relevant, timely content

     

    Own the creation of a marketing calendar

     

    Proof and edit all content before production or going live

     

    Produce and contribute regular ministry blog posts

     

    Drive miscellaneous marketing initiatives, such as the creation of unique landing pages, postcards, or other opportunities to engage hearts, minds, and imaginations with the work of our ministry

     

Qualifications

 

In addition to relevant experience that aligns with the core responsibilities of this role, we desire that the Communications Content Manager meet the following qualifications:
 

 

  • 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, and/or Copywriting

     

    Bachelor’s degree is preferable; an equivalent number of years of practical experience will be considered

     

    Prior experience in content creation (writing and editing)

     

    Prior experience in multi-channel marketing, including digital, social, website / online marketing, and email communications

     

    Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines, taking ownership to lead and drive projects without needing direction

     

    Natural communicator, team oriented and able to lead others in accomplishing projects with excellence

     

    Able to authentically write and communicate with the voice of our ministry

     

    High level of attention to detail

     

    Resourceful and innovative, able to adjust readily to a new projects and initiatives 

     

    Able to sustain a positive work ethic and hopeful attitude 

     

    Strong in organization and project management skills

     

    Able to work independently and remotely, attending in-person meetings weekly and as needed

     

    Agrees fully with the Help The Persecuted statement of faith
