Mully Children’s Family US (www.mcfus.org) is a nonprofit, 501c3 organization that for over three decades, through the determined effort of Charles Mully and his family, has provided food, shelter, clothing, education, healthcare, and spiritual enrichment to thousands of Kenyan children in a loving, family environment.

MCF seeks an energetic and creative communications professional to join our growing team based out of our US headquarters in Atlanta, GA. The Marketing and Communications Director will be responsible for successfully creating, leading, and implementing an integrated communications and marketing plan in support of MCF’s overall strategic objectives. In that role, the Marketing and Communications Director will develop website content, manage social media, write key publications (e.g., newsletters, fundraising appeals), and gather stories and photos that document and promote MCF’s work. This position is ideal for anyone looking to join an international faith-based organization with a compelling mission and be part of a dynamic development team as it seeks to raise $4-5M annually.

Responsibilities

  • Reflect, articulate, present, and promote the mission, vision, and identity of MCF to audiences in a way that inspires engagement.
  • Provide editorial, strategic, and creative direction to all MCF print and digital materials, including the website, newsletters, direct mail and email appeals, blogs, videos, and social media.
  • Develop and implement an annual communications and marketing plan.
  • Design and produce all print materials and oversee all digital and video work in alignment with the communications and marketing plan.
  • Enforce brand standards across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Commitment to the mission of MCF and demonstrable Christian faith
  • Proficiency with communication tools like Constant Contact
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize, problem-solve, and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collegial relationships with staff, donors, and others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to write clear, concise, and personalized correspondence to a variety of audiences
  • Command of Abode Creative and the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) suites
  • Love of Africa and willingness/ability to travel to Kenya

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of marketing/communications experience and/or work in a nonprofit organization
  • Experience working with an international organization
  • Background/facility in graphic design and photography
  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary is commensurate with experience. The position is full-time with the expectation of working both in the MCF offices and remotely.
