We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Associate Manager to support SEI’s mission of building leaders to drive sustainability solutions through education and development. In this role you will develop and implement communications initiatives and will work to advance our communications, branding, and messaging to the next level. For over 24 years, SEI has partnered with schools, communities, and businesses to develop a sustainability leadership pathway from elementary school to early career. ASSOCIATE MANAGER FUNCTIONS

  • Design, implement and manage annual marketing and communications plan and budget, including social media, print and digital content, and email marketing. Ensure our communications are culturally competent and reach diverse audiences. 
  • Design, regularly update, and distribute all print and digital materials including quarterly SEI newsletters, presentations, reports, brochures, SEI’s Strategic Plan and annual Impact Report, and SEI’s websites.
  • Ensure the digital content for SEI’s websites, social media, and email channels support growing our collective impacts. Track and measure engagement across platforms.
  • Work to identify trends and monitor current events and influencers to anticipate opportunities for SEI to engage in and/or lead the state/national conversation.
  • Guide the strategy on press outreach, including messaging in press releases, creation of press kits and materials, interview preparation, and responses to media requests.
  • Collaborate with SEI’s development team on fundraising strategies, including individual giving stewardship materials, fundraising events, and advocacy campaigns.

     

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly detail-oriented with an attention to quality, and strong project management, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively with teams in the design, integration, and execution of communication and marketing efforts. This includes a proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years of experience in a communications & marketing role.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with and across a diverse set of stakeholders towards stated goals. Highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with team members and various stakeholders.
  • Superb writing and editing skills, with the ability to handle writing assignments from start to finish and write for a variety of audiences and channels. Strength in editing content for clarity, accuracy, style, and organization under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable learning and using the digital tools SEI uses—with little to no assistance, and willing to try out new technologies and work tools. Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, and Google Suite required; SalesForce and Adobe Design Suite preferred. Experience designing graphics and collateral across multiple platforms and the capacity to develop, maintain, and update our suite of websites.
  • Genuine commitment to anti-racism and willingness to work in racial equity frameworks and experience in addressing racism and racial equity with team members and programmatically.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time position with option for fully remote
  • Paid sick and vacation time, 14 paid holidays per year, comp time
  • A starting salary of $72,000
  • SEI-paid health insurance; dental, vision, chiropractic plan
  • 403(b) Retirement Plan, with employer match after one year
