Position: Receptionist 

Principle Function: Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is looking for an organized, energetic receptionist to be the welcoming first contact for anyone calling or visiting the church office during regular business hours.  This position if full-time (40 hours per week).

Role Responsibilities 

First Contact to members, visitors, and vendors 

  • Manage incoming phone calls and emails and provide information and assistance for general inquiries 
  • Welcome members, visitors and vendors who arrive in person during regular business hours, providing information and assistance for general inquiries 
  • Make appropriate referrals or redirect inquiries as needed to assigned staff 

Administrative Support 

  • Attend weekly staff meetings 
  • Assist in maintaining the Church Calendar, scheduling, administrative duties, and special projects 
  • Assist with record keeping and data management 
  • Assist with creating, editing, printing, and distributing church communications 
  • Distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail 
  • Manage office supplies 
  • Assist with special projects 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Minimum two years clerical or administrative experience 
  • Microsoft Office 
  • Data Entry 
  • Calendar Management

  • Able to lift 25 pounds 

Expectations

  • All employees are expected to fulfill their duties and conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with the mission and values of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer as reflected in the current version of the Employee and Clergy Handbook 
  • All employees are employed “at-will” as defined by Georgia state law 
  • All employees must complete a background check 

Reports to: Director of Operations 

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) 
  • Work Week: Monday – Friday (8:30AM – 4:30PM) with occasional weekend or evening hours required 
  • Cash Salary: $31,000 – 35,000 per year 
  • Medical/Dental plan is available (paid by employee)  
  • Vacation, sick time, and Holiday time off as described in the Personnel Handbook
