Purpose of the Position: Leads and provides general assistance to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the delivery of health services in Perinatal Case Management, Babies Born Healthy and Healthy Start Programs. Provides general assistance to develop and implement related policies and procedures. Monitors and evaluates healthcare/educational programs. Directs subordinate supervisors and staff of 20. This position works to promote the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate degree in a related field from and accredited college or university AND two years of management/supervisory experience OR Master’s degree in a related field from and accredited college or university AND three years of management/ supervisory experience OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field from and accredited college or university AND four years of management/supervisory experience in health care services OR two years’ experience at the lower level of Mgr 2 Healthcare (HCM011) or equivalent position.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in public health. Experience in healthcare program management, supervision, grant monitoring (especially federal grants) in maternal child health service area.  

Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Typical office work with monthly travel to meetings in different parts of the district and state with some overnight stays. Annual nationwide travel for conferences and training.

Salary Information: $64,807 Annually / Pay Grade N
