Job Details

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in thoughtful development and implementation of CaringWorks’ supportive housing programs.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and performance evaluation to Program Managers/Directors of assigned supportive housing programs and aid with staff’s professional development.
  • Oversee day-to-day functions of all aspects of the supportive housing programs including supervision of Program Managers/Directors grant compliance, audit schedules, and grant applications.
  • Oversee regulations and compliance for the agency through quality assurance activities such as internal auditing and ensuring documentation activities are aligned with agency policies and procedures as well as best practices in the housing industry and CARF.
  • Act as a liaison with all entities involved with Supportive Housing programs and attend mandatory meetings with these entities.
  • Assist with all functions as necessary for hiring, orientation, training, discipline, and dismissal of service personnel for housing program(s), in accordance with regulatory bodies and CaringWorks policies and procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining systems necessary for ensuring quality clinical services; monitors all clinical staff’s record keeping as needed.
  • Assist with the review and updates to the agency’s policies and procedures manual.
  • Assist and coordinate with the Behavioral Health team to fully integrate the Housing/Integrated model.
  • Assist with the development of the agency's annual plans.
  • Ensure appropriate services are provided in compliance with all relevant funding and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct monthly staffing meetings as needed, participate in program meetings, and participate in business meetings when needed.
  • Review and submit reports as required by the agency, its funding sources, and regulatory entities.
  • Supervises agency’s housing student interns and assists with appropriate internship placement when applicable.
  • Coordinates and implements both evidence-based training and governing body required training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Master level degree in Social Work, Human Services, or similar. preferred. Extensive experience with housing program may be accepted in lieu of a masters degree.

  • Associate License (LMSW, LAPC, etc.) or Full License is Preferred (i.e., LCSW, LPC, etc.)

Experience:

  • A minimum of three years social work/social services experience with supervisory experience.
  • A minimum of one year experience with non-profit services.
  • Experience working with the homeless population(s) preferred.
  • An understanding of deaf culture and demonstrating cultural competency and knowledge of the issues relevant to persons with hearing loss would be helpful.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills (i.e., integrity, communication, active listening, motivational, etc.)
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • If applicable, must possess a valid GA state driver’s license and liability insurance minimums as outlined in Caring Works Liability insurance coverage.
  • Able to work evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or in the case of an emergency when needed.
  • Strong team/consensus building skills.
  • Strong and timely documentation/ reporting skills.
  • Must pass a GAPS (fingerprint) records check and a drug screen.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage and organize projects.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office software to include Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to work with grantors, funders and other collaborative agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analytical methods.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Efficiency in Google Docs/Google Drive.
  • Ability to work with at-risk client populations (i.e., chronic illness, mental illness, substance abuse, etc.).
