Lightway Recovery Center is a nonprofit, long-term residential recovery wellness center for women, including pregnant and postpartum women. The philosophy of care is one of holistic wellness following addiction and is focused on physical, mental and spiritual recovery for women whose primary struggle has been addiction to substances. Our goal is to equip our residents with tools for life-long recovery and support the women we serve, including their entire family, as they transform the most important relationships: with God, self and others.

OUR MISSION: Lightway Recovery Wellness Center is a safe, supportive, Christ-centered recovery environment where women are treated with dignity and respect and experience healing of body, mind and spirit while gaining the tools to maintain lifelong recovery.

 We believe innovation is essential to change the way we treat addiction and mental health issues. We also believe peer support is a crucial part of the continuum of care.

For our team of volunteers and team members, serving our community is not just “a job” but a passion. Qualifications

  • A woman of character with a vibrant spiritual life who is an good example for our residents
  • A passion for serving individuals and families impacted by addiction and a strong desire to see women grow in their recovery.
  • A highly motivated self-starter, exhibiting initiative and vision as well as practicality; tenacity balanced with grace and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to record accurate data, prepare documentation, use various software, train groups and share your story.
  • Ability to communicate with residents, family members and coworkers in a positive, can-do way.
  • Ability to assist in maintaining a safe healthy environment and team.
  • The ability to respond to stress with calmness and clarity and get the job done.  
  • Desire and flexibility to be part of a team of innovators who are always working to improve the services we offer and to support each other in an evolving environment.
  • Ability to communicate with residents, family members and coworkers in a positive way.
  • Ability to assist in maintaining a safe healthy environment and team with good boundaries.
  • Organizational skill set, but flexible enough to work well with team members, residents, and families.
  • Personal ethical standard which translates to an ability to document required information and follow HIPPA standards for protected information.
  • Leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors highly preferred
  • Must have a valid in-state driver’s license, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.

Case Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with residents’ care by assessing needs; developing, monitoring, and evaluating recovery phases and progress. 
  • Assists with admissions of new residents by setting up records in medical record software, setting up phase dates, completing intake forms with clients and conducting orientations.
  • Determines clients’ requirements by completing intake interviews; determining needs for documentation, medical and prescription maintenance; family and support person communication, etc.
  • Setting appointment schedules and routines; coordinating appointments including transportation to appointments.
  • Monitors cases by documenting services provided as needed.
  • Maintains clients’ records by reviewing requirements for each phase and making sure women get their pertinent information and forms for each phase as they grow in the program (Examples: Pass Requests, Pass Evaluations, etc).
  • Serves as a liaison for family and support persons, setting up family coaching appointments,  providing general information and maintaining records of their class attendance
  • Assists in preparing residents for second level of care  (Transitions Phase).
  • Makes suggestions to enhance program schedules and processes and assist leadership team with program improvements Prepares reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing program results, data and trends and any grant requirements.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities to learn more about addiction and recovery.
  • Serves as an example to the residents of the organization’s Core Values. Research and arrange additional resources for residents that support physical, mental and spiritual health and wellness, fun activities, etc. Assist with volunteer coordination and scheduling.
  • As we grow and improve the program, some duties may change, shift to other positions or be added to.
