Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Inc. (CPACS) is a private nonprofit located in Atlanta, Georgia. Our mission is to promote self-sufficiency and equity for immigrants, refugees, and the underprivileged through comprehensive health and social services, capacity building, and advocacy. Founded on the belief that “people need people,” CPACS is the first, largest and oldest organization in the Southeast to focus on issues and concerns of Asian Americans, especially women, children and families with low incomes.

Position Summary:

The Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in promoting and expanding the external reach of CPACS, its departments and programs, and events and initiatives. This position will work closely with the Executive Team to create an annual Marketing and Communications plan, lead external marketing and communications for the agency, support departments and programs with creating materials and distributing them to the community.

 

  • Collaborate with the Executive Staff to develop marketing and communications plans for the organization and agency wide events and initiatives
  • Build CPACS brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content. This involves developing content strategies, growing an online community and tracking that community's growth.
  • Manage the development of marketing materials and publications for the organization including but not limited to brochures, flyers, pamphlets, and promotional items
  • Update content, maintain, and mange engagement for the CPACS website and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Draft and publish regular communications for the organization including newsletters, website content, social media posts, press releases, and other requests using up to date best practices.
  • Work with designated staff on public relations with media outlets, including ethnic media. This includes writing and sending press releases and media advisories, publishing advertisements, and supporting media needs for events
  • Manage department/program design and communications request including design, editing content, taking photos, and ordering. Marketing Specialist will be responsible to make sure materials follow organization branding, includes relevant content, and culturally appropriate for program audience.
  • Provide marketing and communications support and guidance for program campaigns and initiatives
  • Oversee creation of annual publications including Annual Report with Executive Team and other related departments at CPACS Develop and update vendor list and coordinate ordering of marketing materials and promotional items
  • Track metrics for marketing and communications of the organization and provide data requested for grants and other reporting by Program Directors, Managers, and other staff
  • Work across organization with staff to document and share CPACS stories including program and client success stories and activities, day-to-day programing, and special events
  • Represent the agency at public outreach, tabling, and speaking events along with the community outreach team.
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or related field is preferred
  • 2-3 years of marketing, communications, graphic design experience, nonprofit experience is a plus Experience with Social Media sites including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Tiktok is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, design software particularly Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), and Canva
  • Good eye for graphic design and ability to stay up to date with communication trends
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills including story telling
  • Strong motivation and adaptability, including ability to work under pressure and with little supervision
  • Demonstrated interest or experience working with AAPI and immigrant/refugee communities
  • Strong organization and documentation skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with high attention to detail within short deadlines
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, Nepali, Burmese, or Spanish is a plus
