The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) is a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high-quality child care by strengthening the profession of family child care for nearly one million paid home-based early learning programs serving almost 40% of the 6.7 million children who receive care from a nonrelative on a regular basis.

NAFCC seeks an Executive Director to provide leadership for our and steer the organization through an era of significant changes in the field of early care and education. The Executive Director will ensure the priorities of the family child-care field are effectively represented on the national stage, that our members receive excellent value and support to provide the highest quality services to children and families, that NAFCC financing strategies are strong and diversified, and this leader drives strategic change in partnership with the board of directors.

NAFCC is the only national organization devoted to family child-care providers, who are hardworking and loving small business owners to whom parents entrust the care and nurturing of their young children. This person will help family childcare providers navigate challenges including isolation, lack of recognition as important early educators, and difficulty in finding information on best practices with children and as small businesses that are tailored to their needs. NAFCC helps address those needs by linking members to information, building the community by connecting providers to each other, holding an annual conference, and operating the only national accreditation system for high-quality family child-care homes. NAFCC serves 3,500 members annually and has a budget of $1.6 million. NAFCC also has regional representatives from multiple states and over 20 state associations working in partnership with its mission.
