Trinity is seeking to hire a Trinity Kids Pastor to lead a vibrant children’s ministry where kids are formed, volunteers are developed, parents are supported. We’re looking for someone who loves kids, wants to see them thrive, and can lead both a staff team and volunteers well.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Spiritual Formation of Trinity’s Kids

  • Leadership of all Trinity Kids environments including Sunday mornings and beyond

  • Vision and curriculum development

  • Strategic leadership of all systems that support Trinity Kids including classrooms, check in procedures, background checks, volunteer ratios in classrooms, etc.

  • Lead the process for kids’ baptisms, blessings, and affirmations

Volunteer Development

  • Regularly recruit volunteers to serve with Trinity Kids

  • Create and maintain ongoing training and support for Trinity Kids volunteers

  • Provide consistent care for Trinity Kids volunteers

Partnering with Parents

  • Be a resource for Spiritual Formation in parenting

  • Engage parents through regular pastoral communication

  • Provide pastoral care for parents and kids

Events

  • Plan, organize, and lead Trinity Kids events (Camp/VBS, Christmas Pageant, Game Nights, Parent to Parent Nights, etc.)

  • Collaborate with staff to incorporate kids into churchwide events such as the Spring Retreat, etc.

 Leadership and Collaboration

  • Supervise and direct Trinity Kids Team and volunteers

  • Be a bridge between Trinity’s leadership and both Trinity Kids

SKILLSET & EXPERIENCE DESIRED

  • Alignment with Trinity’s vision and values

  • A heart for the spiritual formation of kids and families

  • Excellent communication skills (both in person and in writing)

  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and handling complexity

  • Organized and efficient

  • Collaborative leadership style

  • Experience with and love of working with kids

  • A demonstrated understanding of spiritual formation
