Job Details

The Project Coordinator is an important facilitator in the workflow of the church, operating as the gatekeeper between ministry event planning and the support staff’s execution of those events. This position communicates with both ministry staff and outside vendors to clarify event details, uphold project timelines, and inspire member engagement through social media. On a daily basis, the Project Coordinator will oversee the intake of event information via a preexisting form system, translate that information to the church calendar and project management software, and work with graphic designers and the creative director to promote the event through both printed and digital mediums. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with staff members about proposed and current projects to clarify production details of printed materials and promotional items Facilitate the production and delivery of all items produced out of house by communicating with print brokers and print companies Manage all projects and timelines within the Creative Services department by checking in with the Creative Director, Creative Services team, and ministry staff regularly and using project management software Maintain awareness of all church events in order to knowledgeably manage the church’s social media presence as well as the church-wide calendar. Maintain and update the churchwide calendar including managing staff event submissions, inputting information into ACS calendar systems, and providing room set ups for Facilities team Occasional coordination with outside groups needing to use church facilities Plan and execute a social media strategy for the church’s social media platforms (currently Facebook and Instagram) with the approval from the Creative Director and graphics/visual support from graphic designers, and Production Department Performs other related tasks as requested by the Creative Director and Executive Director.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Has a strong and growing faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to sharing their faith with others Ministry-minded with a commitment to the church and its growth Strong time management and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects at once with efficiency and accuracy Self-starter with strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills who can interface with ministers, staff, volunteers, and lay leadership Ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, high energy and constantly changing environment Efficient with smartphones, tablets, computers, & Microsoft Office for reporting daily progress to see a project through to completion

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three or more years’ experience working with marketing and/or design teams
  • or; combination of education and experience commensurate with the minimum requirements of this position
  • Proven experience with project management
  • Experience in administration, and/or church background/knowledge is preferred
