Executive Director

Full-time, on-site, exempt position. Salary $78,000-$88,000.

Based in Eugene, Oregon, Parenting Now, is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to head our successful, 44-year-old nonprofit. We believe all children should be raised by nurturing, skilled parents. Our mission is to provide the local and global community of parents and parenting educators the tools and resources to create and sustain healthy, safe environments for children. The new Executive Director will be a passionate and articulate advocate of this mission.
With a motivated board of directors, a highly experienced professional team of 10 full time and 28 part time staff, we look to build on a record of successful advocacy and expansion, as well as embrace the changes that inevitably come with a rapidly changing society. Our research- and evidence-based programs bring together groups of parents to learn about positive parenting and child development from experienced professionals. In addition, we develop and market evidence-based, culturally inclusive parenting education curricula grounded in best practices that include a social equity lens. We provide individualized support to families and assist them in managing stress, preventing child abuse and neglect, and capitalizing on their own strengths to fulfill their hopes and dreams for their children. The successful candidate will be as comfortable sitting with a distressed parent as they are in a room with business leaders and major donors.
