Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Assists with marketing and communication efforts for the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers including the development and execution of marketing programs, events, and communications that drive brand awareness and promote a positive perception leading to increased membership and customer engagement and event attendance. This is a full-time position with benefits located in Norcross, Georgia.

Particular focus: membership marketing campaigns and strategy collaborating with the membership team. This position will work closely with the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager and staff stakeholders to develop and disseminate promotional messages to a variety of audiences using different approaches. Manages Smartsheet on a daily basis.

Assists with website operations and maintenance, coordinates social media posts and podcast interviews, A/V production, as well as serves in an admin role with member engagement platform IISE Connect. Assists with magazine production.

Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital and print marketing, market research, writing, editing, website, social media and digital analytics.
  • Prior experience working with associations a plus. Very proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Very proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience using an email marketing service (Constant Contact, MailChimp, Pardot, etc.)
  • Must be flexible, creative, enthusiastic, and able to handle multiple tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Very detail- and deadline-oriented.
  • Ability to develop campaigns that target a variety of audiences.
  • Ability gathering, assessing, and making informed business decisions from data.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously. Must be reliable, punctual.
  • Must be able to take direction, work well independently and as part of a team.
