Fundraising Event Planner (Account Manager)

Purpose of Role: 

To provide detailed management and oversight of multiple client accounts, follow our signature planning approach, and work effectively with vendors and Client teams. This role requires exceptional project management skills, fundraising experience, attention to detail, and the confidence to speak with knowledge and expertise as a representative of the Boundless Brand.
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Have a keen understanding of donor psychology, event fundraising, and basic knowledge of the non-profit sector
  • Learn and follow our Boundless Signature 3-Phase planning approach by utilizing our project management tools (Basecamp and Google Workspace) to maintain project status and document storage
  • Provide exceptional fundraising consultation and project management services by staying ahead of deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely fashion, and by demonstrating excellent communication skills that nurture client relationships.  
  • Bring a high level of organization, insight, and the ability to juggle multiple clients and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Attend internal and external meetings with clients, vendors and the Boundless Team (both in person and virtual)
  • Attend all events that fall under your client portfolio (unless pre-approved exceptions have been made)
  • Provide feedback to the Operations Department to ensure consistency in SOPs and software use
  • Understand the world of live and virtual events and be able to effectively communicate and execute various styles of events
  • Delegate responsibilities in a clear and concise manner providing oversight and follow-up to ensure tasks have been completed in a timely and acceptable fashion
  • Adhere strictly to the client procedures & processes, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service
  • Manage onsite teams to ensure smooth communication & project management platforms are fully leveraged
  • Attend monthly meetings and events with Boundless Team to understand and ensure smooth execution
  • Reports to Director of Events

 

General Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of the non-profit sector, event fundraising, and/or mission-driven events
  • Basic knowledge of live (and preferably virtual) events, processes, production & integration
  • Robust understanding of key software, such as Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms), PowerPoint, and basic or intermediate knowledge of Basecamp or other project management tools a plus
  • Exercise active listening by remaining in a constant state of discovery to understand client and team needs
  • Strategic & analytical thinker, strong communicator, organized, flexible, and a logical “step-by-step” thinker
  • Strong presentation skills, detail-oriented, solution-oriented, & logical “step-by-step” thinker
  • Ability to manage and support all relevant team members in their projects by use of clear and concise delegation with oversight and assurance of task completion
  • Strong understanding of timelines and their importance in event management
  • Solution oriented problem solver with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Able to allocate resources and time in an efficient & effective way
