POSITION SUMMARY
The Campaign Intern position at Coxe Curry & Associates is responsible for supporting Campaign Managers and Directors with office administrative work, campaign operations and client needs as well as assisting with the day-to-day duties of firm operations and office management.
The internship provides an in-depth look at the nonprofit community in Atlanta, expands knowledge about the impact of public-private partnerships, and enhances the understanding of ways to leverage corporate and private philanthropy for the benefit of the community. A strong interest in civic and community engagement is central to the work and experience in this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Campaign Intern is responsible for providing assistance to Campaign Managers and Directors in order to further productivity, organization, and client service. These operational tasks include:
- Conducting client and prospect research (includes use of Raiser's Edge software database), and submitting requests to the Advancement Services department, as necessary.
- Assisting in the editing and preparing of a feasibility study, grant proposal, final report, and exhibit materials
- Working with administrative staff to schedule internal and external meetings
- Maintaining client records and keeping both the internal and client team up to date
- Completing administrative tasks, including but not limited to: making labels/tabs; keeping files/records; binding; and assembling meeting packets
- Walking to a nearby bank to deposit checks daily
- Maintaining responsibility for outflow, inflow, and distribution of mail daily
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, it is the responsibility of the Campaign Intern to provide assistance as necessary and assigned to the Campaign Managers and Directors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
As a Campaign Intern, the minimum requirements for the position are as follows:
- Bachelor’s Degree or currently pursuing a degree
- General administrative experience
- Computer skills—Microsoft Office System including products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Discretion with confidential information
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to interact with people and maintain a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to balance competing priorities and follow-through/ follow-on the progress and completion of assignments/tasks
- Organized
- Timely
- Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work with a team
