The University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for the Coordinator, Outreach and Marketing in the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs. The Outreach and Marketing Coordinator shares responsibility for building a pipeline of diverse and well-prepared applicants to UNR Med’s MD, BS-MD and Post-Bac programs, including a focus on outreach that encourages students from first generation and rural backgrounds to pursue careers in medicine.

Responsibilities include collaborating with internal and external partners to coordinate outreach events that prepare and educate prospective students about application requirements, selection criteria and about the programs, curriculum, and research opportunities available at UNR Med. This includes development of informational presentations and handouts, coordinating event logistics and speakers, and marketing and promotion of events, programs or initiatives. The position develops or edits content for the admissions website, social media accounts, a monthly e-newsletter, and various software platforms used to recruit and provide resources to prospective applicants and admitted students. The position is responsible for tracking event budget expenditures and the collection of data and information about event attendance, program participation and changes over time in the demographics of the application pool.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high aptitude for communication (written, verbal, active listening), relationship building, achieving buy-in and engagement, a service orientation and creativity.

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience OR

Master's Degree and one year of related work experience

Related Experience: program development for students of diverse backgrounds, student affairs, student recruitment

Licensure: driver's license required
