In this role you will be working with one of Double the Donation's largest clients to help them grow their matching gift revenue. You'll be providing support to donors who have questions about matching gifts, managing a range of corporate giving portals to verify and track down matching gifts, and providing assistance to staff members of the organization.

We’re looking to hire candidates who have 0-3 years experience, have an interest in the nonprofit sector, enjoy customer service, can operate independently, and have a desire to help one of the largest organizations effectively manage their matching gift operations.

We're looking to bring on 1-2 individuals who can start in January or early February.

Do you have a deep passion and commitment to doing work that is genuinely meaningful? Come work for the leader in matching gift software and start making a difference at a company where your results matter!

The Position:

This is the perfect role for someone who has recently graduated or is early in their career and wants to break into the nonprofit sector.

Customer service through clubs, internships, or part-time jobs is preferred though not required! Experience with fundraising and/or matching gifts is also nice to have, though not required!

Success in this role is driven by striving to provide spectacular support, a high degree of attention to detail, and being a hard worker.

In this role you will:

  • Answer donor support tickets across a range of topics related to matching gifts, corporate giving, and individual transactions. These may be simple or may require in-depth research.
  • Access corporate giving portals to verify matching gift requests, update our systems, and resolve any potential issues along the way.
  • Compile, analyze, and manage all corporate matching gift claim forms received by the organization, which includes researching employment status and updating the appropriate systems.

  • Monitor all contributions received from match eligible donors to ensure they are accompanied by a matching gift claim form. In the event that a matching gift claim form is not included with the contribution, proactively work to help donors get these submitted correctly.
  • Visit matching gift program websites to confirm donor online match requests.

  • Contact corporate matching gift centers when necessary to ensure the accuracy of our data, resolve problems, locate donor information, and to follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Serve as a liason between our company and the organization to enhance the fundraising efforts of the organization's corporate matching gift program.
  • Advise donors in writing of incomplete or rejected matching gift claims and work to resolve the issue
.
  • Enter and reconcile matching gift reports across the appropriate systems.

The Location:

Double the Donation is located in the heart of Atlanta on the Beltline between Krog Street Market and Ponce City Market with all of our team members located in the metro area. We have a hybrid work structure with team members working in-office some days and remotely other days.

Requirements

Who we’re looking for:

  • Individuals looking for entry level positions (Majors that could be a good fit include Communications, Business, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or other Liberal Arts degrees)
  • Strong academic performance with an overall 3.6 GPA minimum
  • Individuals who take their professional achievements very seriously

As a small growing business, there are a few traits unique to our business that individuals should consider before applying.

  • You must love the idea of giving back to the community and nonprofits. There are thousands of jobs. If being involved in the success of nonprofits is something you’re truly passionate about, this could be a great role.
  • You must be extremely comfortable with change. As a small growing company, decisions can be made over a weekend and fully implemented by early the next week. Whether that’s new systems, new processes, or new approaches, we look for individuals who can adapt and thrive.
  • You must believe that the best contributors should get better rewards. As a company, we believe in paying people based on the value they generate at the business.
  • You must be willing to disagree and commit. As a growing business, there will be lots of decisions that get made and changes that occur during your time at the company. Some of which you’ll agree with and some you won’t, we strongly believe that the best team members have the ability to disagree and commit (i.e., going with a decision after it has been made regardless of whether or not you agree).
  • You must believe the status quo is unacceptable. As a growing company and as individuals, we believe the status quo is unacceptable. Everyone should be relentless in striving to be the best version of themselves and figure out ways to create more value at the company, enhance our client's results, and grow professionally. The question should always be “How can I be better” rather than “How can expectations be adjusted”.

We also need you to:

  • Be able to work independently and have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Have excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Have a demonstrated ability to learn new things quickly and think on your feet
  • Can work through obstacles and challenges
  • Be highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Be results driven and goal-oriented

Compensation and Benefits:

Financial compensation includes multiple components:

  • Base salary: $45,000.00 per year
  • One-time additional $1,000 payment on your 1st paycheck, dependent upon a start date. If you don’t stay with the company for 1 full year, you’ll need to repay this in full.
  • Eligible for an annual bonus based on client and/or company performance. Your bonus range is $0 – $8,000 per 12-month year with a target of $4,000. If you join in the middle of the company's performance period, this is prorated in your first year. Company bonuses have two-year pay-out periods. For example, for individuals starting in June, 2022, 25% of the Bonus earned will be paid out in the 2nd pay period of August, 2023 and 75% of the Bonus earned will be paid out in the 2nd pay period of August, 2024.
  • Optional Life leave cash-out value of $2,475 per year if you choose to cash it out rather than using it.
  • Monthly stipend of $100 for health insurance if you choose not to enroll in the company’s healthcare plan.

Expected Year 1 Compensation totals about $47,000-$52,000 with it increasing in future years.
