ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager of Community Partnerships is responsible for managing administrative and programmatic work of the Neighborhood Commissions Programs including SFUSD Artists in Residence Program. Working in collaboration with YBCA’s various departments and community advisory bodies, the Manager of Community Partnerships will support multi-faceted programs and activities that serve to bring creative resources to broader community concerns. Manager of Community Partnerships is charged with working to successfully fulfill YBCA’s mission and vision.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with the Director of Community Partnerships, design and manage administrative and programmatic work of the Neighborhood Commissions Programs including SFUSD Artists Residencies
  • Manage recruitment and hiring of teaching artists
  • Nurturing and maintaining relationships with collaborating partners
  • Maintaining partnerships with SFUSD, teachers, and staff; project manage contracts and MOU
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of program data and documentation to ensure compliance with partner requirements
  • Coordinate evaluation tasks for Office of Creativity & Impact
  • Assist in preparing funding reports for the Office of Creativity & Impact
  • Represent YBCA at community meetings, performances and events
  • Provide onsite teaching assistance for the Neighborhood Commissions programmatic activity including SFUSD classrooms as needed
  • General administrative support
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years’ youth, social justice or arts program management experience
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of community organizing and/or other activities of a socially engaged artistic practice
  • Holistic understanding of the SOMA and Tenderloin neighborhoods in San Francisco
  • Demonstrated ability in creating partnerships with community, arts organizations or K-12 schools
  • Demonstrated ability to support a learning atmosphere for students and workshop participants
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to speak on complex social justice issues
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and access, and works effectively with people of varied backgrounds, experiences, points of view, and aspirations
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and creatively in a fast-paced, fluctuating environment
  • Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently with minimal supervision
  • Capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks under pressure of deadlines
  • Excellent budget monitoring and process tracking skills
  • Successful clearance of the DOJ/FBI Live Scan fingerprinting
  • Provide provide current proof of Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, database management, and G Suite

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
