OPPORTUNITY

youthSpark, Inc. seeks a skilled Program Coordinator for our Youth Services Center (YSC). The youthSpark Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of YSC program coordination with administrative tasks, as well as assisting the organization’s overall operations and executive team; in charge of assisting with the development and coordination of youth empowerment and life-skills activities and maintaining communication with community partners and volunteers, in addition to maintaining YSC walk-in traffic; providing administrative support to the Executive Director, accounting, and grants management team.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Experienced Program Coordinator with knowledge and/or practice in nonprofit service delivery programs for at-risk youth. Demonstrated success in effective office administration and prior experience in a youth-serving setting, as well as experience with crisis management, intervention, and conflict-resolution techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to assist with the coordination of program-related activities to YSC youth, including but not limited to, the following:

· Coordinate and implement various program aspects of the YSC such as ordering materials and supplies; managing MARTA and driver client transportation and logs; planning program-related events; chaperoning field trips; and weekly support group preparation 

· Coordinate external communication between clients, parents, staff, probation officers and referring agencies weekly

· Coordinate logistics for YSC outings and field trips

· Maintain and record all YSC DREAM closet activity and facilitate community donation pick ups and deliveries

· Assist in organization’s awareness efforts, including social media management and coordinating monthly volunteer trainings

· Assist in data collection for grants

· Collect and disseminate ingoing and outgoing mail

EXPECTATIONS - The position of Program Coordinator is full time and requires working outside of routine work hours and must possess:

 Strong time management skills
 Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills
 Ability to multitask and communicate with clients, staff, and referring partners
 Ability to maintain personal and professional boundaries

 Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
 Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
 Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
 Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

CREDENTIALS

· Bachelor’s degree in the area of social sciences, social work, childhood education, or business, public administration or a related field preferred OR two years of experience in the field of program coordination or executive administration in a non-profit setting
