Description & Responsibilities

The Recruiter will manage organization-wide outreach and recruitment for staff and intern positions on specific teams.  This job offers an opportunity for an organized, team-oriented, energetic, and trustworthy individual interested in talent acquisition to learn about Ceres’ programmatic work and work closely with our team leaders to build this fast-growing organization.  Ceres commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion will require a person who can embody that commitment and will support our goal to diversify our workforce and foster an inclusive candidate experience.  The position is full-time and reports to our Manager, Talent Acquisition.  Candidates may work remotely but are also welcome to work from our Boston or San Francisco offices.  Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

 

·       Organize recruitment for staff and intern hiring; including

o   Create and implement plan for outreach and relationship management with colleges, universities, and professional organizations,

o   Lead hiring kick-off meetings with hiring managers,

o   Actively source candidates for open positions,

o   Provide training to new hiring managers and all hiring managers on competency-based hiring and addressing bias in the hiring process,

o   Lead on weekly hiring check-in meetings

o   Counsel hiring teams on application materials and organizing exercises for candidates,

o   Process acknowledgements to all candidates

o   Track all candidate activity

·       Support the Manager in developing marketing materials and increasing Ceres online footprint to expand our outreach efforts with a particular interest in diversifying our candidate pool

·       Assist the Manager in development and organization of Ceres’ ambassador program

·       Support Manager in developing materials and training sessions for Ceres staff on best practices for screening and interviewing candidates

·       Assist in organizing online or in-person job fairs or recruitment events

·       Support with data tracking and analysis on candidates and search process,

·       Produce quarterly applicant data for reporting purposes

·       Assist Manager with special projects as assigned

·       Support other members of Talent Acquisition during vacation or other leaves.

 

 

Qualifications

·       At minimum, 3 years of recruitment or other talent acquisition experience, required. 

·       At minimum, 1 year of direct recruiting and hiring experience, required.

·       Certified diversity and Inclusion recruiter expertise, preferred. 

  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize projects. Proven track record of successfully completing multiple projects on time.
  • Sound judgment, sensitivity to diverse constituencies, strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to demonstrate initiative and motivation.

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. 

·       Understand how to manage confidential information in an appropriate manner.

·       Strong ethical sensibility.

·       Interest in building a workplace where inclusion and equity for all people is valued.

·       Strong relationship management skills.

·       Good organizational and problem-solving skills necessary.

·       Ability to look at problems as opportunities.

·       Strong attention to detail and good follow-through on projects and communication.

·       Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

·       Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization, a plus.
  • Desire to work in a mission-driven, non-profit organization, a plus.

 

Compensation: The hiring salary is $55,000 to $57,000 and pairs with competitive benefits.
