Development Manager

The Development Manager will support the Director of Development with fundraising initiatives outlined in the Community Building Guidebook. Fundraising initiatives include corporate donations, individual donations, grant solicitation, and in-kind resources.  The Development Manager  serves as a point of contact  for Profound Gentlemen donors and maintains all information, reporting and data systems for the Development Department. The qualified candidate will demonstrate an aptitude and interest in using data to drive strategy and building the donor pipeline for the larger aim of increasing donor financial support for Profound Gentlemen. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Grant Writing & Grant Reporting: (40%)

• Assist with writing high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents 
• Research, write, report, track and manage all grants (ie. federal grants, contracts, memorandum of understandings, and request for proposals)
• Design and build general data and KPI reports for the national team, board of directors, and external national & local partners
• Manage strategic agreements and relationships with all supportive school, district, and nonprofit partners

Community Engagement Events & Campaigns (40%)

• Organize and plan fundraising events (ie. Annual Soiree & Night of Impact) in collaboration with the Director of Development and Community Engagement Committee
• Organize and plan annual fundraising appeals (ie. Support the 2%,, Giving Tuesday)
• Assist Director of Development with organizing development efforts (site visits, roundtables, etc), while working closely with other staff within the PG organization

Database Management: (10%)

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date donation history, contact information, and other relevant data about the organization’s constituency using the Salesforce customer support system and Classy donation platform.
• Process gifts (ie.copies, records, assigns to proper accounts, etc.) to the organization and make timely bank deposits and data entry management. 

Development Strategy: (10%)

• Assist Director of Development in setting annual fundraising goals and KPI benchmarks for the PG organization.
• Conduct proactive, creative, ongoing prospecting, and research activities through various informational channels to collect data about maintaining donors and developing prospective donors.
