Job Details

At Kids Alive International we believe every child is a priority to God, and far too many are overlooked, unheard, exploited, and threatened. Our mission is the call of Isaiah 1:17: to serve these children by constantly learning better ways to meet their needs, earnestly seeking justice for them, empowering them for a healthy future, and advocating for community change. We desire for every child we serve to:

  • Enjoy a vibrant, life-changing relationship with God
  • Experience emotional and physical well-being
  • Be equipped for a life of independence and service
  • Live life in family and community, free of fear and violence

We are over 100 years old, but our relocation to Metro Atlanta is providing an opportunity to refresh our methods and traditions. We’re adding new staff members who demonstrate emotional and spiritual maturity, flexibility, self-motivation, curiosity, collaboration, and accountability.

We are seeking a new Internal Operations Manager to help develop Kids Alive’s community, culture, and office operations by serving and fostering collaboration between multiple teams. By asking insightful questions, they will gain a big-picture understanding of our needs and respond by implementing best practices in the areas of office operations, IT support, and record/data management. They will own the office relocation project, supporting each team to continue their work in the process.

The Internal Operations Manager will galvanize and train staff to follow best practices and guidelines and support them in using our resources wisely. They will adapt to unexpected changes with a positive, service-oriented attitude and a commitment to discover, analyze and solve problems together.

As our Internal Ops Manager, you will:

  • Help create a sense of community and champion our Kids Alive culture by providing support and encouragement to International Office staff
  • Manage office operations, facilities, how space is used, relationship with leasing agency, and inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Supervise (potentially) an office assistant, interns, and/or other office personnel
  • Meet internal IT support needs by providing it personally, and when necessary, by sourcing and managing outside services, including ongoing contract with IT support company
  • Take ownership and responsibility for providing appropriate access and storage for Kids Alive archives, records (hard copy) and data (digital)
  • Manage and carry out special projects that cross organizational lines, such as:
  • Orchestrate our office relocation process from Indiana to Georgia, including archives, records, supplies, furniture, and procedures
  • Establish new office layouts and procedures in our Alpharetta office as they are transferred from the Indiana office
  • Track and maintain operations budget and expenditures to ensure best ROI on how funds are used

A successful Internal Ops Manager will also bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of effective team management
  • 5 years of researching, proposing, planning, and implementing solutions to issues and barriers
  • Outstanding organization, accuracy, time management, and execution of simultaneous projects
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other business collaboration tools
  • Understanding of computer systems and networks, software, apps, and use of SAS tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% (4-6 weeks) of each year
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19, or a willingness to become fully vaccinated
  • Some of these preferred skills and experience:
  • Understanding of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Computer technician certification or experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Slack, Asana, or other project management systems
  • Spanish, French, or Arabic language proficiency
  • Experience living or working in other countries and cultures

Kids Alive offers competitive pay and benefits including 403B with employer contribution, great health insurance from day one, and an FSA. If you have the skills and experience described here and are looking for a challenging but rewarding work experience, we want to hear from you.

A little more about us:

Our organizational culture is led by what we believe about identity. Regardless of our roles in Kids Alive, we believe that in Christ we are all:

  • God’s Children: We are intrinsically loved by the Father, and we should reflect His love in thought, word, and action. (John 1:12)
  • Clean: God is faithful and just to take away our shame and forgive us as we admit our failings, forgive each other, and grow to be more like Jesus. (1 John 1:9)
  • Chosen for a Purpose: We are called to be God’s ambassadors as we represent Him in our homes, schools, work, and communities. (John 15:16)
  • Powerful: When we are united in honor, respect, love, and reliance on God, we can do all things He calls us to do. (Romans 12:10, Philippians 4:13)
  • Masterpieces: We are the artwork of God, created to do marvelous works that He prepared us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)

In light of this, we desire to embody these values in our work and relationships with each other and the children and families we serve: faith, integrity, understanding, self-control, perseverance, devotion to God, mutual kindness, and love.

Company

At Kids Alive International we believe every child, even those with the most challenging needs, is a priority to God, and far too many are overlooked, unheard, exploited, and threatened. Our mission is the call of Isaiah 1:17, to serve these children by constantly learning better ways to meet their needs, earnestly seeking justice for them, empowering them for a healthy future, and advocating for community change.

Accomplishing that mission means every child we serve will have a present and future where they:
• Enjoy a vibrant, life changing relationship with God
• Experience emotional and physical well being
• Are equipped for a life of independence and service
• Live life in family and community, free of fear and violence

Our strategy for implementation includes:
Preventive Programs: ...an early intervention through education, meeting physical needs, and providing discipleship that promotes hope in difficult circumstances.
Strengthening Programs: ...when a child is at a higher level of risk or has experienced abuse. We promote healing through family strengthening, community awareness, social services, therapy, discipleship, and legal support.
Restorative Programs: ...(in collaboration with child protection systems) if a child must be legally removed from family or has no family option. These interventions focus on the rights of the child, holistic restoration, and a pathway to permanency in a family home.
Systems Programs: ...working with governments and like minded organizations to create more just and responsive systems for children, and to reduce violence and exploitation in communities
