JOB PURPOSE

At Partners for HOME (PfH), your challenge will be to ensure we create a highly-coordinated homeless crisis response system that delivers outcomes and measures that can be scaled in order to effectively connect individuals experiencing homelessness to the appropriate and most expedient housing solution. Our team’s mission is to lead a coordinated community effort and to layer and leverage the resources and relationships to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is for an ambitious and industrious relationship builder who will undertake a variety of administrative and project management tasks, which will include, but not be limited to:

  • Work in close partnership with the Continuum partners, and the City of Atlanta Staff/Departments, and other key stakeholders to develop and initiate strategic planning activities and the Annual Action Plan that support ClearPath, the 5-year strategic plan specifically as it relates to lines of work for youth and families and diversion.
  • Design, develop, and launch a homeless prevention and diversion housing pilot and programs for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
  • Work with the Senior Project Manager of Performance to develop performance measures and benchmarks and assists with performance monitoring of all new programs and initiatives associated with youth and families, and diversion.
  • Partner with agencies receiving related funding resources to further alignment with the CoC and lead and drive committee work and strategies.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation to the CoC of HUD regulations/guidelines, contract language, procurement policies, and procedures.
  • Develop broad-ranging relationships and provide exceptional customer service to our Continuum Partners, partnering with them to ensure a transparent system is in place to measure outcomes and deliver results. 
  • Lead the strategic project management of the Youth and Family Committee and Diversion Committee to ensure strategic goals are met.
  • Keep updated records, monitor data and data quality, and generate reports
  • Supervise staff including the onboarding, off boarding, conducting performance reviews and ongoing coaching
  • Providing support to direct reports to meet the goals and targets of individual work plans
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High energy and a passion for the CoC’s mission and goals
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Significant experience building relationships, and gaining community buy-in and consensus building
  • Previous experience in partnering with leadership for the delivery of projects
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Preferred record of measurable results in cultivating relationships
  • Superb organizational skills, with the proven ability to create and implement efficient development systems, plan strategically, allocate work, set and manage objectives, analyze and mitigate risk, and create and manage projects
  • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • Impeccable, professional, and persuasive writing and editing skills
  • High energy and a passion for the strategic direction of the CoC and the City of Atlanta in ending homelessness
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to perceive and understand people’s motivations
  • Highly industrious with a strong work ethic; sense of urgency/impatience for action
  • Integrity and humility that encourages and inspires constituents; strong sense of judgment
  • Ability to seek out constructive criticism and growth
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, consistently meeting expectations and commitments on tight deadlines, all while managing a variety of tasks and relationships in an efficient and meticulous manner
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management tools

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in homeless services

SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILTIES

May supervise direct reports and work of others as it relates to youth and families and/or diversion

COMPENSATION

Partners for HOME offers a competitive compensation package including generous health benefits, retirement match, annual performance bonus and up to 4 weeks’ vacation.  Salary range is $62,000 - $75,000 depending on experience.

Partners for HOME serves as the Collaborative Applicant for the Atlanta Continuum of Care (CoC) — a HUD program that promotes community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness and provides funding for efforts by nonprofit providers and state and local governments to quickly rehouse people impacted by homelessness. We bring together government, nonprofit, business and community stakeholders to make homelessness rare, brief and nonrecurring.

While not a direct service provider, Partners for HOME is a nonprofit organization authorized by the Atlanta CoC and City of Atlanta to provide homeless response; fundraising and grantmaking; and performance and compliance management services to the local homeless ecosystem.
