PAF is conducting a search for a Contract to Hire Database Manager for an youth development and education-based organization in Atlanta.   

Candidate will be contracted through the end of 2021 with the intention of hiring the contractor for this full time position starting on January 3, 2022.  This position will report to the Development Director, and work in close collaboration with fundraising and event staff.

The ideal candidate is a mission-driven development professional with a minimum of two years of Raiser’s Edge database management experience, who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is energized by sharing the impact of providing educational support that empowers students to achieve their potential.   

The Responsibilities of the Database Manager include:  

  • Support giving strategies by providing excellent service in data entry and reporting, queries, merge functions, applications, histories, donor meeting notes, donor data for digital strategies, event development and solicitations, mailings, donor visit preparations and general development operation support and management.
  • Serve as the owner of the database, administrating the data to support  team members success achieving organizational goals.  This may include events, capital campaigns, annual fund activities, media strategies, special funding initiatives, communication projects and more.
  • As requested, this position will generate reports, data sets for strategy decision-making or implementation as needed.  This may include assisting the CEO or Development Director; or collaborating with the team to implement fundraising strategy to achieve organizational success.  
  • Participate in event development and execution as both the organizer and provider of the data, document generator and collaborative team member working to achieve event goals.
  • Maintain timely, accurate and complete records of donor communications
  • Prepare data driven campaign materials including merges, communications, solicitations and internal documents. 
  • Prepare regular reports on campaign activities and support development reporting
  • Assist with other donor relations functions including donor acknowledgments. 
  • Maintain foundation and grant related submitting and reporting information in Raiser’s Edge and participate in submission calendar development.
  • In collaboration with the Development and Special Events Manager, coordinate and execute events logistics to ensure an exceptional donor experience
  • Provide any and all needed support for the Board and committee fundraising initiatives
  • Assume other tasks and responsibilities as needed.
