Chief Development Officer

Introduction

Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers (RCI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the health, strength, and resilience of all caregivers at every stage of their journey.  RCI coaching and support to caregivers has grown to embrace opportunities nationwide to reach more caregivers in more places.

Open Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing national organization with a very relevant agenda for the caregiving challenges we face as a country. Prospects and leads are abundant given Mrs. Carters connections and visibility on the issue. This is a rare opportunity for the right person with the passion, strategy, and skill to raise significant funds to support one of the more pressing issues of our time with aging baby boomers and their desire to age in place. The successful candidate will be able to serve as a thought-partner to the CEO and Chief of Staff to seek, solicit and obtain foundation, major gifts, and individual giving on scale that reflects positively on RCI’s association and relationship to Mrs. Carter.

The CDO will be responsible for hiring a data analytics team member to assist in the day-to-day details of the development department. Priorities for the first year will include:

  • Converting prospect leads to donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Developing long term relationships with key national foundations based on introductions created by staff and the Carters.
  • Designing the major gift fundraising strategy and legacy giving approach
  • Developing successful annual campaign
  • Creating a planned giving program that can grow over time.
