Job Details

Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is seeking energetic, customer-service oriented person for this strategic role in the management and growth of TAG’s event sponsorship, to assure value is garnered, renewal occurs and success is built upon. This position seeks to learn and implement ways TAG can serve the technology community, with refined benefits, first-class experiences and top-level content.

The Senior Director, Corporate Development is responsible identifying new companies looking to position themselves as major players in Georgia’s technology ecosystem. The role is a highly visible role within the community and must have someone who is comfortable networking to build a prospect pipeline.

Responsibilities include sponsor prospecting, proposal customization and presentations, contract revision and services, and sponsor follow-up and support. The desired outcome is to attract and retain sponsorship through exceptional care and feeding of client stakeholders, leading to high levels of company engagement, in addition to attracting new sponsorship, raising nearly $2.2 million in sponsorship sales.

Duties

  • Successfully implement a sponsorship strategy through strategic sourcing
  • Manage department that currently consists of one employee.
  • Create a sustainable sponsorship environment by delivering exceptions customer service with new and existing sponsors
  • Cultivating current TAG relationships to identify sponsorship engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop engagement packages, invoicing, post-event reports and follow up
  • Ability to reach and build rapport with decision makers and CEOs and to make high volume sales calls
  • Regularly meet with the EVP & Chief Revenue Officer to establish and discuss touchpoints for each individual sponsor
  • Achieve a sponsorship renewal rate of 75% for all active sponsors
  • Manage and create updates to MS TEAMS for all sponsorships
  • Creation of year-long bundle packages with top 75 sponsors
  • Attend TAG events
  • Maintain adherence to TAG operational budgets
  • Skilled in listening, questioning and solution-based selling.
  • Identify and sell sponsorship to new and existing members who would be interested in Technology based events to further brand their company position within the community
  • Initiative innovative strategies to develop new program offerings for members
  • Prepare communication plan for new and returning sponsors.
  • Work with membership and events team to ensure sponsor logos are correct on digital and print platforms
  • Manage sponsorship emails to ensure sponsor pipeline for events are current
  • Work with EVP & Chief Revenue Officer to ensure sponsorship goals are met and exceeded
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

This position requires a person with these five characteristics:

  • Someone that is passionate about customer service that promote successful outcomes,
  • A well-organized person that is comfortable in a dynamic multi-tasking environment with a wide range of administrative and tactical duties,
  • Manage detailed record keeping requiring extensive computer knowledge and office skills, including proficiency in the use of MS Outlook, calendar and email, MS Word, and MS Excel, and the ability to learn the membership database and task management system
  • The ability to interact and communicate (verbal & written) well with C-Level contacts
  • An individual that is a self-starter and enjoys working in a small, fun, “Whatever it takes” environment.
