Executive Director

The CSTE Foundation seeks a recognized leader in public health and/or nonprofit management to elevate the organization's role in supporting the nation's applied epidemiologists working in state, local and territorial health departments. Key qualities for the candidate include: general knowledge of governmental public health sector, epidemiology or related field, proven fundraising skills, strategic thinking with a collaborative spirit and convening skills. Key challenges for the executive director include: guiding the organization from a start-up foundation to a visible and vital part of applied epidemiology, supporting the nation’s epidemiologists through collaboration with the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE), the professional organization of applied epidemiologists, and contributing to and executing a 2022 strategic plan. 

The Executive Director is the key management leader of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists Foundation (CSTEF) https://cstefoundation.org , a foundation created in 2018 to support the work of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) https://www.cste.org/   

The CSTEF Executive Director provides overall direction, leadership, management, and coordination of the CSTEF activities, with a focus on fund raising to support the supported organization, CSTE. The Executive Director will report to the CSTEF Board of Directors, supervise the CSTEF Advancement Officer and work closely with the Executive Director of CSTE.
