YOUR OPPORTUNITY

In this internship position, you will learn the ins and outs of the daily workings of a non-profit marketing team, and all that entails. Internship can be tailored to the strengths and interests of the intern and could include a focus on: 

• Graphic design
• Content creation
• Public relations
• Social media
• Video production
• Digital marketing
• Event planning/execution
• Marketing and communication project management and execution

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you will report to the Marketing & Communications Assistant. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participate in weekly staff and marketing meetings
• Take a hands on role in creating marketing and social content

• Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events

• Create content and help execute seasonal marketing campaigns

COMPENSATION

This is an unpaid internship. You will gain hands-on experience working closely with a creative, close-knit team who is inspired to achieve a lasting solution to rural poverty. We can also coordinate with your institution to offer academic credit for your experience.

COMMITMENT

This is a part-time internship that normally requires you to be in our sunny San Diego office 12-15 hours per week for the duration of the internship. However, with the ever-changing environment due to COVID-19, this position will be remote. Hours are flexible. Below is a general timeline for the deadline and duration of internships.

LOCATION This is a remote-based position. The Plant With Purpose team is working in a hybrid format, allowing for fully remote work or the ability to utilize our HQ collaboration center in San Diego, California. If you are in San Diego, our collaboration center is open for use for interns. 

START DATE: January 18, 2022
