COMMUNITY & DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Position Description

Status: Part-Time or Full Time (temporary with potential to permanent) Community and Development Manager

Reports To: Executive Director

Location: 21 Bell, NE, Atlanta, GA 30303 (Sweet Auburn/Downtown Area)

OUR HISTORY

Trinity Community Ministries (TCM) has been serving Atlanta’s homelessness community since 1981. Founded in partnership with Trinity United Methodist Church to serve as an overnight emergency shelter, TCM eventually evolved into a transitional residential recovery shelter with a mantra of “A Tough Program for Tough Times” and reputation for helping men who truly wanted to work for sobriety and self-sufficiency. In 2004, TCM entered into a partnership with Big Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church to house TCM’s administrative offices and Trinity House-Big Bethel programs, including a 36-bed residential recovery facility, at the former Hanley Building in the Sweet Auburn District of Atlanta. TCM now serves more than 100 men annually with a goal of helping homeless men reclaim their lives and return to their families and communities as mentors and leaders.

TCM is a faith-based organization and Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for staff as well as for people seeking services. We welcome staff, volunteers, partners, and participants of ALL faith traditions in our organization.
