Director of Development

The Seacoast Repertory Theater is looking for a Director of Development, to oversee all aspects of its fundraising, development & sales responsibilities. This is a key position that will report directly to the Board of Trustees. Responsibilities will include the development of a fundraising infrastructure for 2022 and beyond. Key to this infrastructure will be the creation of an annual fundraising calendar, designed to grow charitable giving and foster relationships with new donors. This position will also lead the Rep in nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and providing opportunities for more engagement throughout the year (show openings, key events). Director of development will look for opportunities to elevate the profile of the Seacoast Rep, by developing relationships within the Seacoast community (patrons, businesses, community groups, media). The successful candidate will bring sales/development experience and have a solid understanding of charitable giving and its importance to non-profit organizations like the Rep. Key to this role will be experience in grant writing and managing the creation & execution of donor events. The position will spearhead both advertising & sponsorship sales to local & regional businesses. The position will also be responsible for overseeing the activation of sponsorships and to manage these key relationships & seek to grow them over time. The successful candidate should be a passionate, creative, and strategic thinker who can engage with a wide range of people (staff, donors, sponsors & key stakeholders).
