Chapter Coordinator – Local Remote

As the Chapter Coordinator, you will be responsible for the daily and ongoing activities in support of the Atlanta Chapter and the developing Birmingham Network.

Successful outcomes will include high member satisfaction and achievement of annual targets for meeting attendance and membership growth, retention, and participation along with revenue goals.

Your responsibilities include management of highly sensitive matters. Discretion, mature judgment, and confidentiality are essential. Because of the complex and variable nature of the position, duties and responsibilities are both broad and changeable according to the situation and needs of ACG, and the assignments made by the VP of Operations and/or CEO.

Responsibilities:        

  • External and internal communications, including regular email marketing campaigns (creation and distribution), the maintenance of the chapter website(s), and various social media platforms.
  • Assist in development and management of all Atlanta and Birmingham events, including event preparation, marketing materials, and attendance tracking.
  • Onsite event support efforts including registration processing.
  • Assistance in the development and management of marketing efforts to achieve revenue targets and attendance goals.
  • Support of a variety of volunteer committees
  • Membership tracking and the highest quality of customer service to members and other stakeholders.
  • Assistance with the generation of monthly and year-end membership reports; trend analysis to aid in chapter development.
  • Management of the association database to ensure record consistency, accurate updates, accurate and timely financial transactions, and maintenance and changes to individual records.
  • Various projects to support all programs and their corresponding committees including other special events.
  • Support in generating revenue for chapter sponsorships and event sponsorships.
  • Strict adherence to ACG brand standards and style guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position is entry level for someone interested in Non-Profit, Association management, or the financial industry. The candidate will have the ability to build their own network with Atlanta’s best in the business community to further their career.

To perform this job successfully, the Chapter Coordinator must achieve and maintain the confidence and trust of the VP Operations, CEO, ACG Atlanta Board of Directors, the ACG Headquarters staff, ACG members, and other volunteer leaders. They must have an exceptional work-ethic, the ability to self-manage as needed, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, capable of multitasking and meeting tight deadlines with a minimal amount of direct supervision. They can work from a home office environment with the same results and accountability as they would under direct, day to day supervision.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate mature and professional relationship skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret membership information, develop programs, and effectively manage common inquiries or complaints from members, media, and the public.
  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook MS Word), social networking applications; web-publishing systems, AMS or CRM software applications preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of association membership and/or office experience preferred
  • Proven track of working with customers and/or members, volunteer leaders, committees and/or clients
  • Ability to identify and implement strategies while maintaining quality and accuracy; Demonstrated project management, organizational, analytical and leadership skills. Visionary, ability to balance “big picture’ thinking with attention to detail.

Location and Travel:

  • Work from home; computer and phone provided.
  • Must be able and willing to travel around the Atlanta Metro area to help facilitate Chapter functions (approximately 4-8 times per month) as well as to/from Birmingham
  • Some national travel by airplane required.
