The Corporate Giving and Direct Response Coordinator (Coordinator) works closely with the Corporate Giving and Direct Response Manager (Manager) and Director on implementation of corporate giving, corporate sponsorships and direct response strategies for individual gifts of less than $1000. Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations that carry out the strategic corporate and direct response plans to meet/exceed revenue goals.

Coordinator is responsible for executing corporate giving activities related to: workplace giving, corporate/organization service days, puppy parties, corporate kennel/program/in kind sponsorships, Community Engagement major events corporate sponsors, national corporate sponsorships, corporate matched gifts, Businesses that Give Back webpage, corporate networking and non-fundraising marketing partnerships.

Coordinator is responsible for executing direct response activities for individual gifts <$1000 related to: direct mail programs, monthly sustainer gifts, D2D and F2F campaigns, telemarketing,

Coordinator works closely and collaboratively with the Community Engagement (CE) team on initiatives, including periodic team staff calls. A high level of attention to detail, project management, quality execution and strict adherence to deadlines on all projects and documents is expected.

Corporate Giving

  • Setup and maintenance of contact files for corporations/organizations participating in: workplace giving, corporate service days, puppy parties, corporate kennel/program/in-kind sponsorships, corporate matching gifts, non-fundraising marketing partnerships
  • Work with Coordinator/Database Manager to keep Razors Edge (RE) donation records up to date
  • Work with Manager to send corporate gift acknowledgements
  • Work with Manager, Operations and Volunteers to setup: corporate service days, puppy parties, non-fundraising marketing events, other corporate events

Direct Response

  • Assist with artwork and proofing of materials
  • Work with Database Manager to secure donor data files and reporting
  • Work with Database Manager on acknowledgements
  • D2D: Run daily/weekly reports, reconcile with agency for weekly billing, upload invoices into Intaact
  • DM: Assist Manager with approving billing; upload invoices into Intaact
  • Run monthly lapsed sustainer reports; call and email lapsed donors to update cc info
  • Provide monthly DM appeal info to Finance/CE for gift processing and acknowledgements
  • Handle daily donor/monthly donor calls and mailbag communications and issue resolution/RE and LO updates for DM donors, sustainers, D2D donors

Administrative

  • Work with Finance on gift processing
  • Work with PNC Lockbox on gift processing
  • Assist with donor cultivation, including: providing integrated acknowledgement copy to CE, welcome packets for new monthly donors, thank you calls and notes to new and large donors, other cultivation activities
  • Along with Manager, serve as Lead for tri-annual newsletter production and mailing
  • Provide monthly ACH and Google Grant reports for Finance
  • Communicate effectively and positively with all staff
  • Foster teamwork; communicate pertinent information to staff and AHS managers
  • Provide outstanding customer service and work closely with AHS staff to accomplish departmental and AHS goals
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Experience desired in project management, fundraising, direct response, database management including coordinating with peers to achieve desired outcomes, and tracking/reporting progress
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously; flexibility and excellent time management skills
  • Compassionate spirit towards donors and animals
  • Strong initiative and energetic approach to projects; embrace change
  • Maintain professional image and positive attitude, even when completing tedious tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people; good interpersonal skills
  • Methodical and detail-oriented; excellent organizational planning skills
  • Strong proofing skills and knowledge of English language and grammar
  • Ability to plan ahead, think strategically and analyze data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • For occasional special events, must be available evenings, weekends
  • Performs work in an office setting and remotely with attendance at meetings as required
  • Potentially subject to animal bites and scratches
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending and stooping
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs, with reasonable accommodations
