About Families First

Families First is a 130-year-old Atlanta organization that helps families who are having a crisis get back on their feet – and stay there. We start by taking care of the family’s immediate needs, like food and a place to stay. Then we work with them in tandem with like-minded community leaders and organizations to set up a customized plan that gets the family on track and helps keep them from falling into a similar situation in the future.

Our key to long-term success is pairing a guide – what we call a “Navigator” – with each family for two years or more. The Navigator guides the family every step of the way through all the services they might need – both from Families First and our partner organizations.

Our services include counseling, life skills and parenting classes, job training, housing support – whatever the family needs. Our goal is to build families that are stable for the long-term – so the children can reach their highest potential.

The Opportunity

Families First has recently completed the first year of a new strategic plan and is experiencing growth and significant opportunity. Our fundraising team grew our donation by almost 24% year over year and is currently expanding. This new leadership role will play a key part in the growth and expansion of philanthropic support at Families First.

The candidate must be based in the Atlanta Metro area and the work location is hybrid with time split between the organization HQ on Atlanta's historic Westside and a home office. You must have access to a high-speed internet connection at home.
