Summary:

The Treatment Coordinator oversees and manages all aspects of the program’s clinical department. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day administration of specific tasks including maintaining clinical/medical records, recommending new staff for hire, and preparing department reports. The Treatment Coordinator devises strategies and plans for the clinical department according to company standards for excellent service and growth, and evidence-based practice. This position assumes responsibility of resourcing, planning and overseeing all patient care or administrative operations of the program as it relates to clinical services.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the fulfillment of agency mission and vision.
  • Complete or ensure the completion of comprehensive behavioral assessments that reflect full client involvement with mutually agreed upon, measurable goals and objectives if needed. 
  • Develop and oversee treatment staff scheduling for residential outpatient services.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, if needed, for individuals suffering from chronic, persistent mental illness and/or addictions.
  • Provide psychoeducation on issues related to treatment for clients (and families as needed).
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral strategies, relapse prevention planning, and recovery skills development
  • Evaluate the individual and family systems as well as assess client’s functioning within work, family and routines of daily living and identifies areas needing continued support, resources and treatment in order to assist clients and staff.
  • Maintain a caseload based on the census and availability of staff resources, if needed. 
  • Assists with referrals for medical examinations and other services, as needed.
  • Monitor the overall progress of each client by making treatment recommendations/modifications based on data gathered during treatment.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of program data and clinical documentation. 
  • Provide emergency services during work hours and after hours as assigned.
  • Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities, which ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations.
  • Monitor staff compliance with Client Track / BEACON databases.
  • All services shall be provided in accordance with the established licensing and accreditation standards governing the agency as well as within the scope of practice of the individual.
  • Guiding and developing the direction of CaringWorks treatment programs in conjunction with all agency clinical staff when needed.
  • Ensure that staff is providing evidenced-based services to clients.
  • Assists with planning and implementing clinical events/ activities.
  • Identifying and staffing needs for all clinical services in coordination with all program staff.
  • Ensure all tasks, events, services, etc. are provided within the set budget.
  • Enforce CaringWorks policies and procedures for all clinical services provided.
  • Provide clinical training for continuous staff development.
  • Evaluate performance of clinical employees and contractors if needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Deaf and Hard of Hearing staff and clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A current, Georgia License, i.e., LCSW, LPC, MAC, CADCII, or CACII. Must maintain a professional license and stay current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed), valid and unrestricted.
  • A minimum of (3) years addictive disease and mental health experience is required. Experience working with homeless, deaf/hard-of-hearing and/or ex-offender population(s) will be helpful.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Knowledge of laws, policies, procedures, and rules governing clinical treatment services and ALL funders and stakeholders.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team/consensus building skills.
  • Ability to use holistic, client-centered approach to treating behavioral health disorders and developing clinical programs.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations.
  • Strong and timely documentation and assessment skills.
  • An understanding of deaf culture and demonstrate cultural competency and knowledge of the issues relevant to persons with hearing loss is a plus.
  • Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, treatment team clients, and other personnel involved in the individual’s treatment. Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations.
  • Strong team/consensus building skills.
  • Strong and timely documentation and assessment skills.
  • Must pass a GAPS (fingerprint) records check.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen/test.
  • If applicable, must possess a valid GA state driver’s license and liability insurance minimums as outlined in Caring Works Liability insurance coverage.
  • Able to work evening and/or weekend hours for crisis when needed.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage and organize projects, and assist with fundraising projects.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office software to include Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to work with grantors, funders and other collaborative and governmental agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Management and leadership experience.  

Preferred Skills:

  • Efficiency in Google Docs/Google Drive.
  • Ability to work with at-risk client populations (i.e. chronic illness, mental illness, substance abuse, etc.).
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analytical methods.
  • Experience with the ClientTrack/HMIS system.
