Position Summary

This position is responsible for accounting for grants agreements including government contract invoicing, managing AP & facilitating the monthly accounting closing process

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare invoicing for various cost-reimbursement grants and fee-for-service contracts on a monthly basis
• Coordinate the follow-through on deadlines and financial reporting requirements over the life of each grant or contract.
• Maintain grant and contract information (Excel subsidiary ledger).
• Reconcile and review all AR & AP modules transactions & activities
• Manage the AR & AP Aging details & summary schedule to ensure accuracy & timeliness
• Monitor & allocate expenditures in accordance with approved grant agreements or contracts.
• Review & monitor payroll processing systems in coordination with the Accountant and collaboration with HR Manager to ensure accuracy, correctness for timely submission
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Analyze and reconcile GL accounts in the monthly/quarterly/year end closing process
• Assist the Finance Director in preparing budget proposal & modification
• Assist with annual tax and compliance reporting.
• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Business or related fields

· At least 3 years’ experience in not-for-profit accounting

· Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com strongly preferred

· Advanced proficiency in Excel and other products in Microsoft Office suite

Compensation: DOE

It is a nonexempt, full-time position

There are normal office working conditions and associated physical demands. For example, on a continuous basis, sit at a desk using a computer and in meetings for long periods of time. Intermittently twist to reach equipment surrounding desk. May be expected to lift and move containers weighing up to 25 lbs. Additionally, this position may require the ability to hike moderate to difficult trails.
