Job Details

This is a fast-paced role that demands a positive demeanor and solution-oriented attitude and the ability to communicate clearly, exercise discretion, maintain privacy, think critically, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

The role supports the Executive Director who spends his time managing partnerships and programs, and fundraising, particularly as the organization is embarking on its first Capital Campaign. This role will work to prioritize and triage various needs and initiatives for the Executive Director. 

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director
  • Perform standard and advanced administrative support duties which may be of a highly confidential nature or have access to highly confidential information.
  • Interface routinely with Board of Director members, executives of other companies and/or community members requiring high levels of tact and discretion.
  • Assist in facilitating marketing and communications efforts for organizational programming initiatives.
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, presentations. Compose independent correspondence or as provided by the executive, prepares reports upon request or at own initiative, and conducts special projects as directed.
  • Travel as needed to various locations/meetings/events (less than 20%)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Responsiveness to internal and external requests.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.)
  • Proficiency with GoToMeeting, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other remote meeting technologies.
  • Proficiency with MailChimp, Instagram, Facebook, and additional digital media channels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment, discretion, integrity, and ethics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting executive leaders
  • Experience creating customer-facing communications

Additional Information

  • Working evenings, early mornings, or partial weekends may be required.
  • This is an in-person position with the opportunity to work remotely.
