Job Details
Job Description: The Fundraising Manager is a full-time position responsible for executing annual fundraising goals and activities by securing philanthropic contributions through grants, members, donors, sponsors and events. The position reports to the Director of Fundraising and engages with all staff and board members to foster an organizational culture that honors the vital role donors and members play in advancing the organization’s mission. If successful, the Fundraising Manager will have timely opportunities for advancement within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Fundraising, Development and Relationship Building
- Develops annual fundraising goals and strategies with the CEO and Director of Fundraising.
- Grows membership and donations by recruiting, retaining and building relationships with current and new members at all levels.
- Manages and solicits business members and other sponsors for events, educational activities and communication mediums.
- Involves staff and board in member engagement and direct fundraising to meet annual fund campaign goals.
- Utilizes peer to peer funding campaigns and tools to increase membership and giving.
- Looks for new and unique opportunities to achieve fundraising goals.
- Stays up to date with latest fundraising trends and attends trainings to develop best practices.
Grants
- Secures public and private grants through research, relationship building and proposal writing.
- Works with operation and program teams to meet grant proposal and reporting deadlines.
Communications and Event Planning
- In partnership with the Director of Communications, provides consistent communications with members by sharing stories and impacts that inspire support through the website, social media, and direct correspondence.
- Organizes in person and online member and special events to engage existing and potential members and donors.
Administrative
- Manages the membership database (Neon) to record and track donor engagement, integrate online payments, and leverages reporting and campaign tools to create strong systems of outreach.
- Tracks success and impact against annual and multi-year fundraising targets.
- Supports the finance team in managing and tracking organizational and grant related budgets.
Racial Equity
- Integrates racial equity in day-to-day work to support Georgia Organics’ growth and evolution as an anti-racist organization.
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of fundraising or related professional experience and possesses a growth mindset to continually learn while on the job.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Attention to detail, organized and creatively proactive.
- Goal oriented with a commitment to set plans and tracking progress towards metrics.
- Both a team player and able to work independently.
- Strong writing and communications skills.
- Experience organizing events from conception to execution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and membership databases a plus.
- Ability to clearly articulate mission and flex communication style to a diverse range of stakeholders, racially, geographically, and socio-economically.

Compensation:
- Salary: $50,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience.

- Schedule: 40 hours per week with occasional weekend and evening work
