Position Description: The Director of Marketing and Communications will lead the organization’s overall marketing and communication strategy for both internal and external communications. This position will lead a concerted effort, in conjunction with the Chief Development and Marketing Officer and the Chief Human Resources Officer, to set the overall communications strategy for Annandale Village that is in line with the organization’s overall strategic plan. Additionally, this position will implement the agency’s marketing plan for print and digital marketing efforts. This is a strategic position that will also work closely with leaders across Annandale’s campus to develop processes for marketing and communications.

This role is a full-time exempt position that sits on the Leadership team and reports directly to the Chief Development and Marketing Officer. This position will also work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Chief Programs Officer. This role is an integral part of Annandale Village’s commitment to effectively communicate with internal employees and external stakeholders, current families and donors as well as market our services in the community and with future Villagers and their families. It’s critical that the Director of Marketing and Communications be well-versed on Annandale’s programs and services and overall business model.

Minimum Qualifications: 4 year degree or 2 year degree with 5 years proven experience. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements. Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting. Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis.  Must have received or be willing to receive a minimum of 1 dose of COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire, with the requirement to be fully vaccinated within 30 days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Internal Communications

  • Create and implement an internal communications plan, in conjunction with Annandale Village’s overall strategic plan
  • Effectively communicate across in-person, print and digital platforms for internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with the CDMO and the CHRO to develop internal communication policies
  • Develops a process for marketing and communication requests across the organization
  • Strategize and implement an internal communications platform for employee communication

External Communications

  • Develop and direct the creation of external communications and publications to support development and marketing activities, as well as other external Annandale initiatives
  • Work closely with the CDMO on implementing communication aspects of the overall agency Marketing Plan
  • Develops and implements all social media content, setting strategic social postings and content
  • Analyzes website data, analytics and content
  • Develops and implements an annual website audit

Print and Digital Marketing

  • Responsible for all print and electronic marketing materials including, but not limited to:
    • Annual Report
    • All brochures and print pieces, including banners and signage
    • Annual Fund and other fundraising materials
    • All electronic newsletters, family e-blasts and stakeholder e-blasts
    • Comprehensive brochures and special campaign collateral
    • All other agency collateral
  • Develops the agency’s print and digital marketing plan in conjunction with the overall Annandale strategic plan
  • Works with Annandale’s third-party designers to design and implement creative content

 

Other Essential Duties

  • Develops and manages media and public relations
  • Serves as Annandale’s copy editor for digital and print collateral
  • Develops general talking points for executive presentations for speaking events in the community
  • Collects stories and testimonials from internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensures Annandale brand standards are implemented across all marketing and communications channels
  • Works closely with CDMO to develop and manage the marketing budget
  • Be a knowledgeable spokesperson for Annandale Village, understanding the complex nature of the continuum of care and Annandale’s business model

This is a new position at Annandale Village and is a key role addressed in the organization’s most recent strategic plan. The Director of Marketing and Communications will have the ability to create and implement a marketing and communication plan that addresses internal and external communications, digital and print marketing, social media and public relations. The right candidate will be a visionary with a creative, yet collaborative nature. This position will play a key role across multiple departments, specifically the Development and Marketing Department, Human Resources and Admissions.
