Sacramento Waldorf School is seeking a detail-oriented self-starter who enjoys multi-tasking to become our school’s Admissions and Business Office Assistant.

Our 22-acre school is located on our unique and historic land on the banks of the American River in Fair Oaks, CA. It encompasses a 2.5-acre farm, lower school facilities, high school classrooms, several community spaces, athletic fields, and sprawling grounds.

The mission of Sacramento Waldorf School is to provide education that honors the developmental stages of childhood, builds confidence, connection, and purpose, and prepares students to realize their full potential as free human beings.

We have an immediate opening for an Admissions and Business Office Assistant who is eager to be a member of a collaborative community of staff, faculty, and parents in support of our students and our campus. We are seeking an individual with an exceptional ability to track and manage numerous details with a high degree of accuracy, working in the background to support colleagues in service to the parent/student community.

Position Summary:
The focus of the Admissions and Business Office Assistant is to ensure admissions, enrollment, tuition, and billing data and communications are accurate and timely. The person in this role takes initiative to track multi-step processes and follows up to ensure timely completion. This position requires a high comfort level working within online systems along with an orientation towards customer service, understanding the importance to students and families behind each communication and data record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • As directed by the Finance Director and the Admissions/Enrollment team, ensures the timely completion of all outlined process steps through to resolution.
  • Provides support to Tuition Assistance processes, entering and providing data as appropriate.
  • Fields inquiries and supports resolution of tuition assistance and billing questions, working in the school’s online systems (FACTS and Veracross).
  • Supports admissions record-keeping for SWS parent-child program and K-12 program.
  • Assists with enrollment tracking for current pre-K-12 students.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience – Minimum two years of data-entry experience demonstrating both a high degree of accuracy and the ability to self-manage within established timeframes and processes. High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of a degree is a plus.
  • Language Skills – Fluency in verbal and written English. Ability to write clear correspondence to accurately communicate details that are, at times, complex and/or sensitive.
  • Ethical Standards – Strong personal commitment to high ethical standards, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Organizational Skills – Strong time management skills. Ability to track tasks and effectively follow up on multi-step processes to ensure completion. Outstanding attention to detail, including the ability to proof work to ensure accuracy.
  • Interpersonal and Cross-Cultural Competencies – Orientation toward customer service, understanding how data and processes impact organizational and personal outcomes. Comfortable asking for clarification or additional guidance when needed. Ability to work with individuals representing a broad range of styles and identities. Positive orientation toward equity and diversity.
  • Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, with a particular emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook. Training will be provided for Veracross (student information and tuition management system) and FACTS (tuition assistance system).
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to enter numeric data accurately, and to assess data entered to draw conclusions and provide insight to results.

Employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions at times. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

Currently the school is operating grades pre-K-12 on campus, with strict COVID-19 protocols in place including proof of COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption. This position is expected to work on campus.
