Description

Campaign Associates for the 2021 fiscal year will be responsible for fundraising efforts and engagement with in-person and virtual workplace campaigns, coordinating and executing upon all related activities for 20-30 corporate partners, and assisting in cultivating long-term relationships. This is a temporary position within United Way of Greater Atlanta and selected candidates will be employed from September 2021 through November/December 2021. Interviews will begin August 2021. 

The Campaign Associate is also expected to attend all virtual and in-person trainings required by United Way. This role is responsible for presenting United Way of Greater Atlanta’s (UWGA) message to potential and current donors, both individually, virtually, and in group settings; analyzing past performance of accounts; developing and executing strategies to improve fundraising results; tracking, reporting and auditing results; serving as the United Way link for corporate senior management, employee engagement champions (EEC’s) and community partners; along with other duties as assigned.  

Essential Duties

Strategy:  

  • Strategize with account supervisors to develop a fundraising plan for each account based upon target research and Corporate Social Responsibility focus at each company. Strategy will be a key responsibility for this role due to some of the lasting restrictions and policies that corporate partners have implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Management:  

  • Manage assigned account portfolio with a focus on raising resources and exceeding goals in company campaigns. 

  • Work closely and collaboratively with EEC’s, executives, and other key account volunteers to plan & implement workplace campaigns. 

  • Closely monitor account portfolio and adhere to a timeline to ensure campaigns are executed in a timely manner, focusing strongly on customer service. 

Office of Development: 

  • Identify, create and execute specific Office of Development strategies in partnership with other departments at UWGA (Community Engagement, Volunteerism, Marketing, etc). 

  • Hold a strong understanding of United Way’s Child Well-Being Initiative and Agenda and be able to clearly articulate the mission and value of the organization. 

Data and Reporting: 

  • Use strong attention to detail when reporting on campaign and donor information in CRM software, including but not limited to, corporate contacts, employee count, UWGA involvement, company processing information, campaign best practices, campaign start/end dates, etc.  

  • Work closely with Operations and Pledge Processing Teams as needed to ensure accounts correctly reflect audit paperwork and that envelopes are audited completely and correctly. 

  • Stay persistent on retrieving campaign results that have not yet arrived and secure/audit results upon arrival. 

Job Specifications: 

  • Must be a self-starter and hold the ability/willingness to respond to changing circumstances and expectations readily 

  • Ability to plan strategically, organize priorities, multi-task, design approaches, and close commitments 

  • Must be proficient in technology, including but not limited to, Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Excel. Previous experience using a CRM platform a plus 

  • Ability and desire to achieve and/or exceed predetermined goals 

  • Ability to analyze data for discovery and planning purposes 

  • Ability to maintain accurate records within CRM database management system 

  • Ability to retain and grow donor base  

  • Comfortable with frontline fundraising  

  • Strong communication, presentation, speech & interpersonal skills 

  • Positive, can-do attitude 

  • Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills 

  • Use of personal vehicle required 

Experience: Undergraduate Degree required. Previous fundraising experience a plus. 

Salary: $16.67/hr, plus mileage 

Status/Hours: Temporary Position with Full-Time hours each week (37.5 hours), 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with some night & weekend requirements 

Duration of Position: September 2021 – November/December 2021
