JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Relationship Coordinator/Membership Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Member Engagement
DEPARTMENT: Member Development

GENERAL SUMMARY: This position is responsible for working to develop and maintain relationships with existing members to secure renewals and retain memberships of past due members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retention Efforts:
- Complete personal touch check-ins following onboarding and prior to renewal per retention playbook (calls, hand written notes, etc.) to develop and maintain relationships
- Call and email members who are at least 30 days past due on their membership renewal
- Share retention reports and involvement info in an effort for members to renew
- Help connect past due members with benefits in efforts to retain
- Assist in maintaining accurate contact information and online directory listings for existing members (new contact at company, business descriptions, member milestones, etc.)
- Prepare monthly membership reports (drops, new members, aging, and distribute as needed)
- Document retention efforts in ATLAS CRM system
Additional Duties:
- Assist with Chairman’s Circle meetings, New Member Orientation Luncheons (ENGAGE), Cobb Connections, Breakfasts and other Chamber events as directed by manager.
- Assist Director of Member Engagement and team with other duties as related to membership and retention including:
- Renewal and Welcome letter preparation
- Mid-Month billing follow-up
- Drop and downgrade requests
- Profile edits
- Returned mail and email research
- Assist with Ribbon Cuttings as needed
- Field membership benefit queries and direct to appropriate team member
- Assist Member Development team and overall staff with other membership duties (Campaign support, golf tournament, event registration, etc.)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or two+ years related experience and/or training; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong computer and resourceful internet skills/Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated, strong persuasion skills
- Strong sense of community awareness, knowledge of Cobb Chamber a plus
- Ability to effectively interact with all type of people
