This position will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary Agricultural Task Force. The focus of this position will be to provide comprehensive case management to farmworkers identified as victims of human trafficking, across the state of Georgia. This entails working unconventional work hours. Overnight travel may be required. The Labor Trafficking Caseworker will often respond to emergency calls and assist with emergency client needs as well as long term case management. This is a full-time position with varying work hours depending on client needs and agency activities.
The Labor Trafficking Caseworker will be socially conscious individual who is passionate about social justice. Responsibilities
• Conduct client intake and needs assessment
• Provide crises management and emergency services
• Accompany Outreach Coordinator on outreach trips to South Georgia on a needs basis
• Conduct case management activities such as referrals for housing, medical care, counseling, education and legal assistance
• Accompany clients to appointments on a need basis
• Provide transportation for clients on a needs basis
• Work in partnership with each client to develop individualized service plan
• Maintain regular contact with clients
• Advocate for clients with other community providers
• Ensure client confidentiality protocols are followed at all times
• Provide interpretation and translation services
• Act as a liaison between clients and law enforcement
• Maintain accurate case files
• Enter client data into database
• Submit client expense reports in a timely manner
